I have sold 2 websites on Flippa so far. Not impressed with the current pool of potential buyers, though. The majority are time wasters who only want to either spy on your site's keywords or haggle your price to a ridiculous low.
As for my first sale, I only listed it because I needed their Escrow feature. I met the buyer on Facebook, and I had to list on Flippa to make the deal secure for both parties. My second sale was earlier in the year. I listed the site because I was desperate to sell it. I was able to sell eventually, but not after I've had tons of ridiculous offers.
If you want to sell sites at fair prices, I'd recommend Motion Invest (losing its reputation fast, though). You can also meet quality buyers on Facebook Groups (I recommend "Flipping Websites"). But if your site is earning above $2,000 monthly, your best bet is Empire Flippers.

For my 6 years exp on using flippa platform. For me Good and Bad.
Good because if you know how to beat Flippa's listings then you can make a good profit with your domains/sites, for my exp there have a hundreds and thousands listings on flippa every single day. So if you are not aware of that, you are just wasting of time.
Bad because if you are starting to list on flippa need to pay the listings fees etc, to your listing are on the top/featured. Also your niche are to broad. Then goodluck.
There have a tons of prons and cons on using flippa platform.

Just bought a site from Flippa.. The guy seemed very reliable considering he had over a 1,000 past sales but turns out he was just a flipper. Lied about his previous sales and suppliers. I am currently revamping the site without his help.

I just sold a website on there for $500 - first time listing a site and it actually sold so I'm pretty happy with it. I only spent around $50 building the site.

None - it was a starter website in the eCom niche. I developed it, added a bunch of products and listed it.

Good old days. Made serious money when Flippa was an actual websites marketplace, not the crap it became now.
Sold more than 20 websites there over 5 years period. The lowest one went for exactly 1900 usd.
Today, it is combination of scammers looking to sell their inflated websites or idiot trying to undermine any legit business being listed (around 5% of the entire thing).
Their fees are also crazy and it's been increasing over the past years like there is no tomorrow. I remember it did quite a fiasco on namepros forum. (Don't even get me started on their editors choice bs).
I recommend using it to sell starter websites though. There is an entire audience behind this, lazy people looking to buy ready designed websites (ecom, dropshipping, services ..). They dont require trafic nor earnings and it can go anywhere from 100 to 600 usd.
