Hey guys,

how many people here offer website building and social media marketing / SEO services to businesses?

I own an agency in the Europe and we are currently having problems with pricing structures, before the credit crunch we would easily charge ?3,000+ for whole packages etc.

our pricing structure was 30% - 30% - 40% but we are finding that this structure is putting clients of due to the amount they have to pay up front this is only happening with new clients rather then old clients.

But my answer is how do you work out a monthly pricing cost for a given project? Does anybody just have a monthly payment structure / agreement for monthly payments?

Just how do you work out how much to charge each month?

im scared of having a monthly payment structure and then that client pulling out and the work what we have does not get paid for... how do you tie that client down to an agreement?:confused:

Thanks
Cloudy! :)

30/30/40 sounds fine. 33/33/33 is also fine. Or you could have a "signing fee" that amounts to about 10% of the cost and then divide the rest into a 33/33/33 plan that will have slightly lower payments since they paid 10% on signing. With the 1st 33% coming once design is started.

In the end it's whatever makes you happy though. Your best defense is SOLID contracts. I paid a lawyer to draft mine, cost $2,000 but I know that if a client slips up I can sue their pants off.

I think he's talking about web design and seo all-in-one, so it should be more expensive than just seo but the seo part should be between $400 and $700 a month based on my experience.

i don't know about this one but i think it will be better to stay here and listen to what others say here and know what i will do if i start my own biz

Search for Taktical's thread on this...think it is somewhere in Offline Marketing, he links to his documents which may not be lawyered-up but should be adequate for most people.

Cheers

this is good; but I guess paying up front for the new users is not expected, it may loos clients.
