Your opinion on my domain for review site

Hello all,

Wanted to get feedback, appreciate your time.

I have a potential name for a review site that comes in both .com and it's ICANN-era generic top-level domain (ex of those are .florist, .rodeo, .organic, .photography etc) Now my question is my traffic will be based on word of mouth, through social media and through business owners being a specific review site for a niche audience, not relying on much SEO as people looking for this information would know to go straight to this site vs searching for it.

Is this something I should push for .com (ex. beautifulflorist.com) for SEO & easy recognition or be 'different' and push the brandable generic top-level domain extension (ex. beautiful.florist)? Can only build on one domain and wondering if I should do it on the .com or the domain extension TLD.

Also interested in knowing has anyone seen or done any testing on generic top-level domain TLDs with SEO and does it optimize properly?

EDIT: Adding that I will have pages dedicated to locations throughout the world, and URL structure would be location + business name. Interested to know if the type of domain I choose above affects this structure/linkbuilding.

My opinion is that these new tld-s are annoying as hell, at least when looking for new domain name myself.

you can go and register the .com and then you can buy the other extension and then redirect the other extension to .com

Even if you do not care about SEO and know that all your customers will come via word of mouth, you will find that many people type the name of the service they are looking for in the search engines instead of typing the domain name. Therefore, your customers who know you as "beautiful florist" will type the same in the search engines and click on the first link. Typically this is the .com domain.

No one knows how the new TLDs will perform in the search engine rankings. You do not want a situation where something registers your .com and walks away with your traffic. So if you can only choose one, I would choose the .com

They aren't that well recognized yet I feel like it'll confuse the people your trying to send to your site. If you didn't know much about computers and someone said go to xxxx.club or whatever you'd be confused and maybe add a .com to the end. I'd use a .com if I were you.
