I've got two kids, 8&10. Saw them at school watching this when I picked them up today...http://kidstube.com/play.php?vid=2331&code=113&code=113

Please click on the video link and flag it as inappropriate for children; for me? I know some of you who would vote in a contest to help a fellow member out. Please help me this once. I do not make any money off of this action; and I swear by it.

For those of you who need an explanation in order to click: One of the sock puppets, whom represented Dumbledore from the Harry Potter Chronicles/Movie was portrayed naked, except for his wizard hat while the other puppets are wearing clothes. There is only singing and dancing; and no explanation about the difference. The beginning of this video introduced a ticking sound, following the puppet's question about the sounds. The viewer finds out in the end that it was a glorified perversion of ignorant power, a child's perception of an explosive which is unknown to the children at that time; and then we get to watch it blow the puppets to high hell as the rest of the children have seen this; and they think it's hilaaaaarious; and lets not forget the awe and power of something that explosive..not good for kids to endure mindless musicals such as this one; what's the objective?

I don't want anyone telling me what I should tell my kids when they ask, "what is a pie *om6?" I'll educate them and continue to teach them what is appropriate for school and those things that are not. I'm also going to mail the school board regarding this site, and keep a closer eye on them, creating mandatory education criteria and so forth for pc games played during the week.. This is not a parenting thread.

This is a, "Flag this video for me" thread. "Please!"

Kidding some, but I will do my end, and I highly commend my friends here that are willing to take the time and flag this video as inappropriate. It's just like 2 clicks. You'd be helping out hundreds of kids until I talk with the teachers and the school-board about kidstube.com - Kids Tube. http://kidstube.com/play.php?vid=2331&code=113&code=113

lol, how did that video get there? I tried flagging but I think you need to have a account there? So I'm not sure it went through or not.

Agreed, I don't really find it that appropriate for children, but honestly when you take a look on Nickelodeon or anything like that you're going to see constant innuendos and questionable things as crazy as that sounds, not saying it's right, just is.

But I did flag it.

Thanks everyone. It needs more flaggin'

Funnier than I expected, actually. What's the inappropriate part, again?

*stares at MuonTrail* That's quite amusing.

Thanks anyway. Keep flaggin' it please and thanks to the rest of you.

load of crap...say it again load of crap...peepers, keep in mind a post I saw awhile ago referring to the average age here....

I totally agree, piece of crap....they are not realizing that this is a SCHOOL, not a blog, remember...

You are correct...

By all means you are free to dictate what your kids watch, and I'm not telling you what to think, but is this REALLY something you would consider inappropriate for children?

I see how you interpret what's happening, but what do you think children are seeing when they watch this?

In my mind I imagine that they are seeing and hearing what they most likely see as simply a fun tune over a simple ticking beat sung and danced to by characters that they recognize. Yes, that beat happens to be a pipe bomb...but what I'm seeing is a pipe bomb left by Voldemort who happens to be the enemy of the characters that were dancing. As far as the naked Dumbledore goes...to me that's just a bit of silliness that follows suit with the theme of the video, maybe I'm missing the part where we can see his puppet cock?

This video is far tamer than any cartoons I am aware of. Consider Avatar on Nick, or Naruto on Cartoon Network, or Yugioh (sp?), Pokemon, or any of the other cartoons available on cable whose storyline revolves around fighting. What about Bugs Bunny, Road Runner, Tom and Jerry.

What makes any those OK and this so wrong?

Don't get me wrong, I don't care either way...and as such I flagged it...just because. So please don't give me shit about how I'm telling you what you should allow your children to watch, I'm not.

I just wonder what's wrong with this when children are seeing actual sex and violence all the time? Despite having flagged it, I really can't see why it doesn't belong on kidstube.

As far as having to explain what a pipe bomb is...well...How old are your kids? If they ever come into contact with video games...and in that I am including many, many flash games that can be accessed freely on the web...I don't see why you should need to explain what it is...I would hazard a guess that they probably have a fairly good idea already.

(I don't play it myself...but is it possible to use pipe bombs in mafia wars...?)

*stares at you* wow; and you arrrre not a parent?
Thanks anyway. Keep flaggin' it please and thanks to the rest of you.

Oh good god no, I'm still much too young to have children (27). But my 9 year-old step brother just thought it was pretty funny. Somehow, I seriously doubt that he will now go on a pipebomb rampage.

In fact, he just now told me that those guys are better than jk rowling. I'm hard-pressed to disagree.

Moralfaggotry at its finest. You best be kidding.

EDIT: no, I'm serious. If this isn't a joke, you've given me all the reasons I'll ever need to never produce any offspring.

HAHAHA I love this video! when i first saw it a couple years ago i put it on a dvd for my youngsters. They annoy their mother with it constantly.

Innapropriate???? maybe for a school, but even then.....i dunno

I'm missing how there is anything even remotely inappropriate in that video? There are puppets singing a song and their enemy sets off a bomb, nothing different from any cartoon.

At that age I was watching war movies and playing with knives (not an exaggeration). There are things that kids shouldn't, ie Porn, very bad violence, but this is not one of them.

Ooh no some hand puppet was naked...
I don't get your issue?
You think your children are going to be harmed by this or something?
You should teach your children about stuff like this!
That way they don't become all uptight about sex when they grow up.

I think you need to get out of overprotective parent mode.

If my kids are watching a video with your kid, which appears as a simple musical, and an introduction to a new device, then as the main line, they will associate the elements found within the video with the device itself.

So, you're not getting it. The explosive IS the main line, and it's shown to all ages without an objective or clear logical direction. If there isn't an objective or logical perceptive direction, then psychologically the child is being mis-directed, as they often use random stimuli to form logic; because there is a musical theme there should be even more focus on the mainline here; and not only that, something new is being introduced at school and a lesson is not found by the time the joke is over.

So ultimately, it was my own ignorance; and this is school we're talking. As before-mentioned, I will do my part. This isn't a parenting thread. I've already begun to take action. I've spoken to my kids after they told me about it. That's my family's business, respectively and respectfully; and with utmost sincerity, I am thankful for your response.

I will certainly appreciate the click from you if you have the time to flag this video as inappropriate. Thanks again, -Peepers

Have you watched the rest...great if you are 21, but not for 8 or 10....pay attention a bit.

Stop trying to keep things from the rest of the world just because you cannot take care of your kids.

Did you not read the other posts or have anything intelligent to say concerning this thread.. Or did you even read it at all? Thanks again for bumping it.

I can only assume that you are concerned that you're not going to get to watch something on kidstube anymore?

Who is the rest of the world?
