I like Industrial theme. Multipurpose, will a lot of demos. I have used it on many sites, not having footprints of similarity in any two

I like any simple fully responsive theme using together with elementor plugin. (also the themes suggested by elementor are pretty good)

I often use default WordPress theme (little bit modify) and Generate press for niche site. For news site I used Publisher.

I am using Sanse free theme for landing-pages, scores 100/100 in Google Page Speed now, clean, fast WordPress theme. But mostly just use GeneratePress theme also super-fast and clean code.

If you've got any web design / coding skills, Sage9 is awesome.
It brings some of the better things about modern web development into Wordpress - Blade PHP framework, webpack, SCSS, can choose CSS framework (Boostrap 4, Foundation, etc)...
That said - when you spin up a site on a fresh install of Sage9, it's just a blank unstyled page. You'd need to know a little about coding to make it look like anything.
For me, this is great - starting with a prebuilt theme actually takes longer, since I have to fight the theme to make anything look the way I want it to. YMMV.

Me too, tried a lot of other themes free & paid (cracked actually) but at the end of day newspaper is the best suits literally all niche.
