Your experience with hostgator?

I'm looking to become a hostgator affiliate. I know that their hosting service is great because I have used them before. However, I would like to know your experience with their affiliate program.

1. How quickly do they pay out?
2. Do they make false accusations of fraud?
3. How quickly do new commissions show up on your account?

I've never heard anyone say anything good about the hostgator affiliate program.

From what I've heard, there would be a very slim chance that they would actually pay out.

There are plenty of other hosting affiliate programs out there, I would avoid hostgator if I were you.

reference youreself a little.. im juts on the website considering purchasing a reseller plan..

one minutes i hear there great and the next there not.. need someone reliable!

I'm having the same problem, one minute there the shiz and the next they suck.

he's speaking of the affiliate program i would assume. as a host, hostgator is great. I've been with them for years and have never had any problems that weren't propagated by my own mistakes, lol. But they were good in helping with support whenever I have needed it.
 
Yes, hosting wise hostgator is great, but I'm inquiring about their affiliate program.
 
I've never used their affiliate program, so I can't provide my experience. Promote them on a small scale, if they pay out then hit it full force.

I've had a reseller account with them for awhile and so far have had no problems. Hostgator is great on the hosting side of things, just heard iffy things about their aff program.
 
They always pay out on time as i have personally made money from them.
 
I've heard payouts can be slow but there program seems to be good.
 
I was an affiliate some time ago and they DID pay but sometimes a little slow.
 
I am an affiliate with hostgator for almost 1 year, here are your answers :

1. How quickly do they pay out? - after 60 days (they will review the sales)

2. Do they make false accusations of fraud? - after every 2nd sale they will act like dicks, but hell they will ask the person that signs up to provide them proof (license ect). Had the same problem when my friend signed up with my affiliate link, solution = photoshop.

3. How quickly do new commissions show up on your account? - almost instantly.

Not 100% sure about that one since I was not checking that data. But I remembered on one occasion that I was 100% sure I made a sale (friend) and to the best I can remember, it was not showing immediately after the sales, but I was paid.
 
I sent 3 sales and apparently 2 of them were fraud so I got kicked out.
 
I would probably go with theplanet's aff program before hostgator as HG is just leasing servers from TP... just my thoughts.

I see their trend is approving the first sale and labelling the 2nd and so on sales as fraud although they are real sales. Is that what happened to you?
