1 million for 1200 sq ft home that was built in 1880. Cash or cheque?

Personally I've been looking at South Florida for the last 2 months. I have an idea what I want to do business wise once I get down there. No state tax sounds incredible and a maximum Federal Tax of 39.6% (which is at $413K) is great as well. Sunshine State.. 1 day.

I really want to see Asia, and EU before brexit. Goals are to learn French. But I'm stuck in the wrong side of Canada atm. Looking to build some passive income so I can travel Asia for a few months then head to Marseille, France for some hardcore full time French study.

mozambique is incredibly beautiful and you can live like a king where as for the same money you'd be an below average joe in western europe or the US.
