Amazon saw its sales surge during the pandemic. And https://fortune.com/2020/05/18/amazon-business-jeff-bezos-amzn-sales-revenue-coronavirus-pandemic/. People stuck at home lined Jeff Bezos’s pockets with even greater urgency than before.

But all that glitters is not gold….

Just like all those screenshots you’ve seen in Facebook Groups, everybody wants to look at the revenue figures. But nobody has been taking the extra costs into consideration...

Amazon spent $600M in COVID-19 related costs in Q1, and it’s not over yet. That cost is expected to grow up to a massive $4B.

Costs surged so high that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNpBoNeGtoA to slow down sales!

Everybody’s out there trying to increase conversions while Amazon, for weeks, actually stopped coupons, product recommendations, promotional deals and all the other features that drive additional revenue.

Not the usual case study, uh?

So amazon affiliates are really a big part of the cake, huh? Nice to know

This is for sure why they slashed the rates but the real question is if they will bring them back to normal in the future? I say no, but I think like that.

No, they won't. They stated it clearly in their announcement.
Reality is that they don't even need to, as they are highly popular now.

Yea, 4 bilions. I saw some news that Jeff grew his fortune by more than 20 bilions only in this period.

I guess you're right. A large composition of overall sales happens through affiliates.
And why it won't be? Amazon only sells the product. But the affiliates add value to that particular product by enlightening potential buyers via their websites. Not all of them. But many affiliate websites have such awesome posts and reviews that they add a ton of extra value.

Maybe that's why they slashed affiliate rates. To decrease their sales.
They dont need us at all it was just that we were promoting their aff program because of the authority
