That's a Yogi Berra quote... he's famous for his way of speaking and was a tremendous baseball player.

I do the same.

I'm fortunate to be in a few areas here on the forum where I learn from watching those who are much more knowledgeable than I am, have better skill sets than I do, and manage things much better than I can.

Watching what others do will almost always impact your life in a positive way... either by learning what is a better way, or learning that you need to be mindful not to do certain things or act certain ways.

It's also free to do which is my favorite price tag.

I have the opportunity here on the forum to be in several areas where I have limited authority, but I don't have a limited ability to learn in those areas from those who do have authority. Although I don't participate much in those areas, I learn from those who are actively involved.

The same goes for some of my IRL areas.

There is a retired Federal Judge who lives a little bit down the road, and when we talk, I do a lot of listening as he is full of wisdom.

A couple of guys own a restaurant, and I'm friends with them, and when we talk business, I listen more than share as those guys know their stuff.

I have a buddy who plays the stock market who was an analyst for Pepsi back in the day. I appreciate how he approaches things there and pay attention when he talks about stocks. I don't delve in the market anymore as I'm much more conservative than I was earlier in life, but the knowledge helps fashion my thought process in other areas.

I literally suck at relationships... I'm the worst, so I listen to my wife, who is annoyingly good at relationships, on how to interact at times. My generation typically ignores their wife when it comes to getting any wisdom from them, I am the opposite, as she knows how to and I am poor at how to.

Be like Yogi, observe a lot by watching... you'll end up much wiser.

I learnt about kyoman. The art of study and observation through ninjutsu. What i found is that's its easy to observe others. But when you study and observe yourself over time, you usually get good laughable memories too.

Like a universal principle of learning
Be observant and focused ..you will lean more than 90% of most men

you are also very lucky tp have many friends doing intresting things, i find it hard to find people with the same mindset these days.
