I'd like to hear your thoughts on this topic.

Are you Free? Predetermined? Scripted Freewill?

From one perspective, it might seem like we have a degree of agency in our decisions. But when we zoom out and consider the broader context of our lives—the circumstances of our birth, the influences of society, and the constraints imposed by biology and environment—it becomes apparent that our choices are significantly shaped by factors outside of our control.

Even the concept of choice itself can be questioned. You can say we're free to choose the lesser of two evils or to select from the options handed to us by life, like playing a game with predetermined rules and limited choices, where we make decisions within the confines of those parameters.

Are you really free? Predetermined? Or in a scripted freewill?

But to go on with it....

Medieval Europe: Cats were often associated with witchcraft and the devil during the Middle Ages. They were believed to be familiars of witches and were often persecuted along with their owners.

Now, what is the chances that a Medieval European version of you would have still liked cats ? or did you have any choice in the time you were born ?
 
When you are exhausted and want to give up, you can use your soul to keep going. A soul has the capacity of nullifying feelings of tiredness and make you do something that goes against your limitations. Not all people have souls though, so if you can't use your soul do not beat yourself, it's not your fault you are soulless.
 
Maybe we are in the matrix and instead of machines aliens are controlling us or we are in some kind of experiment of join single mind entity that controls everything like the evil within :alien::alien:

I hesitated to reply to some of the replies above and even changed/edited some of my replies Because, I did not want to close the discussion.

It's sad Religion can not be discussed. But that entity you described is God. He predetermined everything you call life. and you are simply following the script. (This too has it's own questions)
