I know you're not trying to be a dick mate, but there are 'comments' and there are personal attacks on people's mental health, or posting pics with cum on his face. I'd say I'm in agreement with the cyberbullying bodies on this one. If I linked all of pewep's threads to a anti-cyberbullying page, complete with all those comments and circlejerkings, I doubt the readers would say 'fair enough'.
Yes, but Mods dealt with it I believe.
I think I even made a post in that thread (or one of the other ones) and pewep reported it and I got an infraction for it (from Jazzc)
Do I resent pewep or Jazzc for getting an infraction? No, because I had overstepped the mark.
When we do such things we have to accept the consequences.
Mods have always reacted quickly to bullying and personal attacks from what I have seen.
Pewep also made a nasty comment to me, which he apologised for. Was I upset by his comment? No, it made me laugh but I did respect him for apologising.
We can all overstep the mark if our buttons are pushed.
If you think pewep has had a hard time on BHW, then you should see what was posted over at WiFi
I have suffered Mental Health problems (PTSD/Depression) and I can honestly say that unless somebody has personally experienced it then they have no idea how somebody feels.
Even many Doctors do not understand what someone is going through.
I agree, there is always a section of society (for whatever reason) that needs some form of protection, but what some people fail to ask is 1. Who needs protecting? 3. What sort of protection do they need? and 2. Do they want it?
Without asking at least those 3 questions, we end up with one group of people deciding for others what is acceptable.
The Nanny State is getting worse each year with peoples rights and freedoms eroded, in many cases affecting the majority to protect a minority.
Am I disputing that cyberbullying is serious? No, but what some people might consider cyberbullying others might just consider banter, having a laugh.
Personally, I am pretty sure if I experienced it to a degree that it was upsetting me, then I would just turn off my computer.
We all react differently to certain things, and I believe it is up to the individual to try to help themselves and for those that can't help themself, then yes we show compassion and try to assist them.
