I believe I have them in most articles too...
How many times do you put the long tail keywords in each article?

Errm, around 3 times... again, happy to send you the link if you want to take a look... Let me know.
I am no expert but would love to take a look. I am in the process of building out a similar site so I am very interested / concerned. I am about to leave for work but If you pm a link I will try and check it out briefly today and a little more in depth next week.

All the articles are originally written, not just spun articles, has a mix of custom and royalty free images etc.
It's not a site I can just throw away unfortunately. It's not made just to churn out some money an go again. Aiming for a long lasting site, thanks.
How would I go about doing this?
Man, I don't want to be harsh but you GOT to throw it away. You can't build a long lasting project upon a website that
a) has been spammed (the package you bought)
b) without a proper silo structure in place from day 1 and tons of other things especially if you use wordpress. Check the download section some days ago a guy shared a fantastic book about on page code-wise SEO.
Thanks, I'll look into finding someone to have a look and see what's going wrong.Hi I got your PM. If you're serious about this site, then by all means hire someone to perform a full audit. It can't be done just by bare eye.

Thanks for the advice, but I did do a lot of research before I started and just think I've made a simple mistake somewhere or not done enough of something. I doubt buying one package (that so many others have brought from here) would destroy my site so badly that I have to delete it.
But again, thanks for taking the time to reply, hopefully I can find a solution.

You should be able to get someone on Fiverr to do a full audit etc.
I just emailed you my review of your site.
For anyone reading or following, I will sum up some of the better points, without sharing any site specifics.
Interlinking your articles is important. You don't have to silo the site, I don't silo any site I make. Instead, I follow the concept of Wikipedia, I interlink all relevant articles, I do incontent links for keywords, long-tails and LSIs whenever relevant. I also do in-content reading suggestions, to posts with expanded content of what I might be talking about. I have posts with 4-6-10 links to related articles. Without any inter-linking, beyond just a related/latest posts widget, you end the crawl of your site. That can easily impact your rankings.
Maybe your content is not good enough, make sure you're posting relevant and useful content on your website. Post only high-quality content that is well-written, well-structured, and eye-catching. Make your site beautiful, easy to navigate, fast , and mobile-friendly.
I was looking through the download section and found several books on SEO, do you remember either the name of the post or the ebook? This would be tremendously helpful for me.
try gtmetrix, without registration so very fast onpage seo check
Happy to help. I don't have time to search it but has been shared not more than 10 days ago and talks about on page seo from the point of view of code. There's a lot of talk about PHP in it and the summary includes some paragraphs dedicated to do it on wordpress. So you can't go wrong I guess with this infos. Good luck
Backlink from twitter, facebook instagram counts NOTHING to your ranking improvement.I have a site, the domain is over a year old now. It is a kinda Tutorial site. Teaches people about a certain topic/industry and each article is teaching about a different aspect.
I started building and adding to the site the start of this year, so 10 months now (on and off)
28 articles, all SEO optimised.
The home page isn't a static page.
Have a twitter/facebook/instagram accounts created linking back to the site.
Competition on keywords is pretty low, and monthly searches range from couple hundred to a few thousand.
But nothing is ranking. Well, I have 2 ranking on yahoo and 1 of them on google (page 68) too but that is a slight variation on one of my long keywords (Does it make a difference if my keyword had "an" in it and whats ranking is with "a" in it?). Anyway, thats it. Everything on Serp is just a - .
I purchased the Jack Sparrow Revenge IV package from here back in may/june (did nothing to help rankings)
So any tips or ideas on what I could be doing wrong would be a great help!
(happy to send the site URL/Keywords to people in a PM if they want to see what it is and try and help)
