XSserver.eu review

Wow those speeds are shit. I usually get around 40 mb down 10 mb up on my VPS. thank god i'm on a OK node.

Allright guys let me tell you my story, I have been with xsservers for over 4 months, paying 155$ for a quadcore, their service in first two months was great so was the support response but that all changed from last 2 months, your server goes down and you submit a ticket, they'll reply you after 1-2 days! now this month alone I had 7 down times of about 6-7hrs average, when I contacted them about the issue they told me its some of my app rebooting the server.. that's not the case its the goddamn network issue, if the server is rebooted, how the f*ck all the apps are running as I left them?. I have never seen such a crappy ass service in years, thank God I got in contact with my old DC guys from Kansas and I'll be moving back to a US server.

a simple suggestion: DO NOT GET A SERVER FROM XSSERVERS!
 
thanks for the reviews, I almost got xsserver for mail scraping, now looking for a better server.

Thats may be because you testing it on a server that is 3500 mi away from them!! Choose a server located within 250 mi and check the result again!!

This is what i got when i am running SB blog commenter on 2 user accounts parallely and AMR running on one of the user accounts.
 
I think most of you got the VPS, which doesn't have a dedicated internet line. That means you are sharing the pipe with several other people, and the moment one person runs scrapebox at full speed, the others get minimal speeds coz of full capacity.

This what happens when too many blackhatters use the same box.
 
I second that..if you are experiencing bad perf., you should request to switch to another node..maybe it will get better..if it doesn't, time to switch :)
 
Server is down again! way to go xsservers and your fu*ked up support and lies.
 
how often do you guys get downtime in a week?
 
xsserver is not really a real host. A real host would send warning emails to users who use the pipe/server to full capacity.

I don't see any cpanel/plesk etc installs coming with the server at xsserver, Its a blackhat host gone wrong.
 
Just paid for an unmanaged linux box which cost me ~10.

Will check it out, and will report back here :)

$10, not a big deal IMO :D. The first thing I am going to do is wget in the command line to see how fast their 1Gb line is ;)

I had a dedicated at XSserver and had no issues at all....don't expect a dedicated 100 mbit on a shared VPS lol...

here's my test. And no, connection wasn't sucked by Remote Desktop, when i pressed "Begin Test" I turned off remote desktop, and went back after 5 minutes.

Just to help give the big picture. However I am having a good experience with them. No complaints so far

EDIT: @extremephp :

Find a well seeded torrent with a few leechers to see how fast it can really go. I'm getting good stats that way :)

Hey guys, instead of just bitching about xsserver, can you be helpful and tell us what you are using.

1.) What VPS you are using?
2.) Do they allow Scrapebox blasting without proxies?

Yea, most torrent programs suck the internet connection to the core.

Everyone who's experiencing slow speeds should try this. Although this might piss extreme bandwidth users on the servers.

1) DE-PDS3 Intel Core I7 860 8X2.8 GHZ Dedicated server
2) yes they do but wtf are you goin to do when in the middle of your SB blast, server reboots and sometime dies? lol

I tested the download speed using wget, and it ranged from 500kbps to 30mbps for the 1gb line they provide :)

Well, it was an unmanaged box, I installed Kloxo, and moved my very new forum there (30members and 150 posts) and it was slower than justhost where my forum is sitting now.


Suggest me some descent priced, fast VPS if there are some :(
