Hey,

Looking into buying Xrumer but keep reading i need a dedicated server?
Would i not be able to install it on my local windows pc and run it from my broadband (adsl) connection?

If no, could you explain to me why?

Don't want to do massive xrumer runs like some of you guys ... maybe just a few hundred every couple of days?

Also, once you have purchased xrumer do you get unlimited support? or do you have to pay every year?

I am wondering the same thing. I just wish they would make an "xrumer lite."
 
I run Xrumer on my home PC with hidemyass VPN.... works 100% perfect for me. Sure I dont get 1000 links/hr like a dedicated server would bring but its good enough for me
 
Check out Mass Prestige Poster from BHW member "Iglow" I am trying to buy it myself but there is a waiting list or something. I hear its much like Xrumer . PM me in a week and if he sells it to me by then i will give you an update.

I would say just use a service like Drip Feeder and pay $50 a month assign the tasks to someone else and focus on other things.
 
Sun. are you using Drip? I was thinking about it since I need very little for the sites I push and everything most offer is overkill for me. I like the concept but if it's dripping crap then it's not going to do me much good no matter the rate.

Please let me know. I really like the idea the drip method over the 20k in one hour method.

Last i heard you could run it on your pc.
but im not sure if the fabled V7 is out yet, so if it is,l who knows.

So it looks like i can run it from my local pc as long as it runs on my O/S which is Windoz 7, i need to find this out?

One of the the above members 'wallofiron' said they post from a local pc through a VPN? Why? why are you posting behind a VPN? Whats the benefit of this?
 
I run it from my two comps, each one with a seperate VPN account. Getting ~300links/min each. Works pretty good.
 
What is the drip feeder service all about? Tried doing research but can't find much on it?
 
so you only use a VPN so that the xrumer posts can not be tracked back to you and your home ip?
 
Xrumer runs fine on a home pc with decent broadband, just don't overdo it. You will have to be the judge of how much you can push before your isp will complain about bandwith usage - check the t&cs of your contract etc. If you run it mostly at night I think you will be ok.

As for spam complaints - hidemyass vpn service. $10 a month and you get multiple ips. Been using for a while and no issues.
 
u can run xrumer on ur home pc if u have a good connection and pc configuration. Start by using on ur home pc and later get something better if u feel u need

last question ... the $400 it costs to buy xrumer ... is this a one off or yearly cost?

xrumer is on no share list im 99% share. save up and put xr on a dedicated server. if you seriously can't scrape together the 100 bucks to get a really really cheap dedicated, then go use it from home but the slow speeds and massive bandwidth drain will quickly get you kicked off time warner or comcast. When I am running XR on my server it goes through about 40 gigs of transfer an hour. good luck explaining that to your ISP haha.
 
I got 2 vps windows with 2.8 gb 4 Gb ram
and stills goes without ram after a few days lol
Nad i got 1 Home computer old laptop with only 1Gb ram and works just fine. U can run xrumer at home u only need a fast conecction

I like the idea of Drip Feeder, much cheaper then buying the software and software yourself.
