Someone just told me he was using ipage.com as hosting, they provide free domain name, everything looked good until I put premium domain name of worth $3K bucks. And it showed that domain name for free and landed to check out. So beware of people suggesting their scam leads pages for hosting, and fake stats while they are only scamming.

I demand from admin/moderators to ban this guy who suggested me this hosting to buy.

How will the mods ban someone whom you haven't even named yet. Name the guy, show the proofs and then expect some action. No one bans anyone because you said so!

Both your statement that ipage is a scam and your demand to ban someone for a suggestion are both ridiculous.

1) ipage sucks; they are not a scam though.
2) The staff does not respond to demands.

Ipage is not a scam company. I've used them and they are a legit company.

You failed when you ‘listened to someone’ rather than checking it out for yourself

Not sure who is at fault here. :D The guy that recommend Ipage, or Ipage for charging for the premium domain or you for just going off what someone else said.

So would you recommend Ipage, that is just letting you buy premium domains worth many dollars bucks, for free. (I was about to buy but I got pissed off when they just gave me premium domain for free, so if anyone can have good experiences with them or bad do let me know,
BTW do recommend me some good hosting that can load web page of size more then 5 mb in less then three seconds. And does not go down during large traffic spikes. (load tested) and has uptime more then bluehost/hostgator.

@BassTrackerBoats thanks will keep this in mind.
@CenTex Hosting,
@ThatSEO Yes On the comment box, his replies were definitely helpful,I even thanked him for his posts, its just prermium domain giveaway stuff that pissed me off.
@brwr3How was your experience.

And it's a humble request. I will give a lot back to the community just wait and watch.Thanks :)

When I first read this I thought you were pissed because they didn't let you get the premium domain but now it's sounding like you're pissed because they were going to give it to you.

.... What?

BlueHost, Hostgator, iPage, and so on are not competitors offering better/worse service, they are literally different sales pages for the same hosting company.

As for the domain issue, hosting companies are almost never registrars, they are just resellers. The domain may show as "available" depending on the API they use, but once your order is processed the premium domain registration will fail and you'll be asked to pick a standard domain.

@Stavro got first answer that is completely comprehensive and HQ one. Best post I have seen on this thread so far.
@basstrackersports can you recommend me some reliable ones.
@SimpleSiteSolutions Yes I am pissed coz they are giving it to me. (So had to be 100% scam).

It wasn't a scam, it was just an imperfect API improperly showing a domain as available. Even the big name registrars do that on occasion, and the same issue will even occur with some of the independently-owned hosts who advertise on BHW, so it's certainly not a fault of this hosting company.

Just to be clear I'm not defending EIG here, they really should be avoided at all costs, but an error in the domain reseller API should be the least of your concerns when evaluating a hosting company.

I also have really worst experience with ipage but they are not scam :)

Soon he is going to demand "Ban DD because he is the owner of forum and all started here"
