2 Days Ago I Updated to the latest firefox: firefox 23
Since then, firefox has been nothing but crashing and bugging for me.

It crashes after opening 5 (five) cracked.com articles.
Seriously, I could open 21 of that shit with ease using previous firefox version.

I don't know where Mozilla is planning to go with this project.

That also happened to me some versions ago. I then reverted to a slightly older version and all became normal. Go back to your earlier version. Google for firefox install old version...

I thought about that before but wouldn't it open you up
to vulnerability and security risk.
What version are you using?

Me too. But this has been happening for a while now after every major update. Each time firefox updates, it crashes and it becomes unstable and slow. I have been using firebox for ever now but I am afraid I am about to ditch it and use google chrome as my default browser. I already use Google chrome for a lot of my work but have resisted making it my default browser yet. Firefox has always been my default browser and still is. But I really feel firefox is dropping the ball a bit and I am about to jump ship forever...
 
My latest version works fine - have not noticed any issues.

Yes, I'm seriously considering switching to chrome too.
Firefox is becoming increasingly unstable with each new update.
 
I too am having all kinds of problems. I just tried to order an article and the buy button wojld not work. I tried a few times and then switched to Chrome and copied the form fields over to Chrome from FF and hit the buy button and my article is ordered.

This kiind of shit has been going on for a long time with certain web sites. My Statcounter will load and then the page goes empty. Same as with The Pirate Bay. Just a fucking PITA.
 
I shifted to Chrome long time ago.. and that is the best decision I have ever made. Speed and Light :)
 
It sucks because I really like firefox. It has some of the best browser extension available.
Chrome extensions are shit. Most of them are just 301 redirect to a website.
 
The newest version also removed the "Load images automatically" & "Enable Javascipt" buttons under options, which I use a lot. I had to downgrade back to the old version. Such a shame.
 
I have to agree, Firefox has gone down hill, which is a shame as I used to love this browser. Does anyone know of any other browsers that are like Firefox? Meaning they dont sell there users data like internet explorer/Google Chrome.
 
You got to live with the vulnerability of slightly older version that works but you can't live a minute with the constant crashes and other problems of the latest version. The next newer version might possibly get the crashing episodes out (but might as well have new bigger problems).

Firefox had seen much better days, errr versions before and now truly is over the hill, I think. If it was not for those exciting and USEFUL addons, I would have divorced FF long time back...
 
Also switched to Chrome a long time ago. I keep trying to give FF a chance, but it always disappoints. The slow slowing or creation of new tabs is very tedious.
 
I switched to Chrome a very long time ago because of FF's memory leak
issues. The only reason I use it now is for web development, especially
because of the Firebug add-on.
