WTF Is Happening to Firefox...

Essential these days (and days past) to disable auto updates on FF. I'm stuck on version 18. Last workable version for me.

You got to live with the vulnerability of slightly older version that works but you can't live a minute with the constant crashes and other problems of the latest version. The next newer version might possibly get the crashing episodes out (but might as well have new bigger problems).

Firefox had seen much better days, errr versions before and now truly is over the hill, I think. If it was not for those exciting and USEFUL addons, I would have divorced FF long time back...

Definitely. Firefox has the best addon developer and framework there is.
Chrome addon is shit compare to firefox.

Most Chrome add on are just 301 redirect to a domain.
I mean seriously, can you just fking type the url into the address bar.

Check if you have Firebug panels enabled. Firebug can rapidly decrease the speed..

Well Opera is the best for me, no crashes for like 3 months now :)

I went thru this and got some good advice on this forum that solved all my issues. After an update, look at your addons, and remove any that are not supported. If you still have trouble, pull the working addons one at a time until you find the one that is causing the crashes.

Sometimes you have to wait for an update to the plugin, but often uninstalling the add on, closing firefox,re booting your computer, then opening FF and adding the plugin back in will fix the problem.

I'm on FF 23.0.1, and a raft of tools, only having a flash crash every once in a while.

It's not FF, its the plugins.

mine is working better than before ..... i had this kind of problmes with version 20 or so.

Im on 2301, no Problems at all.
