Hello guys, I am now working in a new field - affiliate marketing. And I have to gather some information for the article.
I would appreciate any help. Thank you
The questions are about Traffic Arbitrage. And more specifically traffic arbitrage where you do it through CPA networks or affiliate programs.
The main question is what set of skills an arbitrage enthusiast has to possess to be successful? I am looking for some specific practical information rather than general like "be stress-tolerant", I need to get into the nitty-gritty details

Here are more questions

Do you need to know any coding/programming? What for?

What programmes do you use to create creatives?

What programmes or services do you use for tracking traffic?

What tools help you bypass moderation?

How do you test new bundles? Is there a checklist or algorithm? How do you do an A/B test work?

What metrics do you primarily track when analysing a campaign? What KPIs do you consider most important?

How often do you review your working strategies and how do you understand that it's time to change your approach? What is the trigger

What analytical tools do you use to monitor user behaviour on your landings?

How do you find new working bundles?

How do you analyse your competitors? Do you use spy tools or other methods? Which one

How do you solve the problem of ROI slippage on bundles?

Thank you, guys, appreciate it

Affiliate marketing and traffic arbitrage are all about testing and optimizing.

  • Skills? Media buying, copywriting, ad compliance, and data analysis. Some coding helps for tracking & automation.
  • Creatives? Photoshop, Canva, or even Midjourney for AI-generated ads.
  • Tracking? Voluum, RedTrack, Bemob.
  • Bypassing moderation? Cloakers (but risky), or just making compliant ads.
  • A/B testing? Run different creatives, analyze CTR, CVR, and ROAS.
  • KPIs? EPC, ROI, CTR, conversion rate.
  • Competitor analysis? Spy tools like Adplexity, Anstrex, and SEMrush.
  • New bundles? Test GEOs, ad formats, and angles constantly.

Hey, thank you for such a quick response.
Can you be more specific please on that one "Some coding helps for tracking & automation." what sort of coding exactly?

Thank you again man!

Hey, also, what do you usually read to improve your skills and how many hours you spend on arbitrage traffic? Thank you!

Hello mate

It is not a MUST, but it's a good weapon if you know how to code. You don't need to know nothing like a full-stack or have a huge understanding. You will pretty much need to know the logic of it. Basically, the ones you would ever need, would be a bit of javascript, php and probably python. If you understand the logic, even GPT can make it for you.

Why coding? I can think of tracking, you will need to track your campaigns, and it usually requires you to implement code somewhere. If you are on a good place already and need to scale it, you will need to automate stuff, like pull data from API's and amke some simples cusm scripts.

Cloaking. Cloaking is a must know, you have a lot of tutorials for a lot of cloakers over there. You will always need to understand a bit of javascript and php, at least the minimum to understand how you can implement it.

And last but not least, of course the Landing Page customization, you will need to have a bit of knowledge of all the basics, html css or even javascript.

Hope this answer helps fills your questions. Have a nice day

Thank you man! I see now, that many of these SPY, CLOAking, and tracking services are so well designed and equipped with tools that it becomes unnecessary to learn coding. But I agree, it's a good weapon, especially if you try drive traffic in the gray market like gambling or betting

Here:

  • Coding? Not a must, but basic HTML/CSS & automation scripting can help.
  • Creatives? Canva, Photoshop, or Figma work well.
  • Tracking? Voluum, Binom, or RedTrack.
  • Moderation bypass? Cloakers like FraudFilter or Keitaro.
  • Testing? Use a structured A/B test plan, changing one element at a time.
  • Key metrics? CTR, CVR, ROI, EPC, and LTV.
  • Strategy review? When CTR drops or CPC rises too much.
  • User analytics? Hotjar, Crazy Egg, or Google Analytics.
  • Competitor analysis? Adplexity, Anstrex, or manual ad scraping.
  • ROI slippage? Optimize creatives, landers, and bidding strategies.
