Hi, guys

I've been using WP Guardian for some time now and haven't had any problems that I haven't resolved with the help of blackhatzen. Anyways, now I stumbled into something and I don't know how to get around it.

I use WPG to pop up in front of videos on my site. The videos are not hosted on the same site, albeit they are hosted on an account that I control. The JW Player is hosted on the same site.

So, my problem is the following: I can't make JW Player UN-Fullscreen on approximately 10 minutes. I want to set a teaser time, but I just don't know how to do it.

So, I decided to make WP Guardian pop up when the user enters the page, but that doesn't show good results- Bounce Rate as high as 88% in some places. (Maybe the users are fed up with all the fill-the-survey-to-watch-my-2-minute-entourage-fake-clip, I don't know)

My videos are real, though, so I want to be able to show my users that they are, ergo increasing my conversions and reducing the Bounce rate.

The first thing that came to my mind was splitting the movies and tv series into 2 parts, having WPG pop only on the second part. But this will be a maintenance nightmare.

If you have any suggestions on how to make the player UN-Fullscreen or if you have any other ideas, please, feel free to post.

Does it pop full-screen based on the <embed> parameters or is there Javascript involved?

I didn't fully understand your question, but if you're referring to the player settings, there is no JS involved whatsoever.

I use this to make the code for my videos. I use the embed code.

Code:

EDIT: Ok, sending the mail

Actually, just send the version of JW Player you're using to the blackhatzen support email address and I'll take a look at it for you. The major issue with Flash is that you can't change embed parameters on the fly like you can with most HTML tags. If the parameters change, the file has to be reloaded. The only option I've found so far to load embeds with different parameters it to load TWO separate embeds and hide one of them. This does a real number on performance, so it isn't really a good solution.

However, JW Player may have a Javascript method to do this and I'll be able to identify it and potentially give you the necessary Javascript to add to make it work.

EDIT: I may not get to it until tomorrow due to the Referer Guardian launch later today.
