Would you pay $1 for a tool like this?

Yes , sounds like a useful tool. But don't use the outdated moz api to fetch backlinks data use ahrefs and charge more.

Limit by ip? I guess I'm the only one that doesn't like giving out credit card information for no reason. Then again, my cards probably aren't among those dozens of millions up for sale at this very moment.

Have you ever heard of PayPal?!

@OP: Do not sell yourself short. Study the market price of similar software or Web based solutions and price it accordingly. $1 is perfectly fine for 7-day trials for example to prevent most abusers and still give users a chance to test the system before paying full price for it, but I don't think I've seen any service on the internet being offered for $1, even the lowest package/tier.

I thought he wanted to limit user accounts? I have 15 paypals myself, try to limit me to 1 lol.

I meant about you worrying if your credit card details are gonna end up on the internet for sale, hence why you don't like giving up CC information when paying.

He wasn't suggesting Paypal so...

Man, every payment processor today supports PayPal. No matter what he chooses for his website, 99% of times you can pay with PP.

Then the whole point of it is stupid. I don't think he was just looking for payment processors. He wanted to limit account by credit card information, which has no fucking relevancy to Paypal. I wasn't wondering how I would be able to pay lol, which I still wouldn't, even if the magical Paypal was offered.

You are missing the entire point. I have no idea what the OP wants to limit or how he plans to do it. My comment was directly aimed at you, that generally (not exactly in the OP's case), if you don't want your CC info to end up on the Internet for sale, you use PayPal to prevent that. But since you said you already have 15 PP accounts, then you already know this and case closed lol, we are already derailing the thread, so let's get back on track.

You built your point on misunderstanding my point but it's all good :p

Is $ 1 to the cost of a lifetime?

Where your sales page?

No, hate web apps, things change to much and I cant keep it if you decide to bail. Also, if you have read any marketing, asking someone if they will pay $1 is never going to give you results. You need to make a sales page and get people to pay. I guarantee that if you get a sales thread here and put this tool up with *$1 review copies to first 200 customers* if the tool provides enough value you will make your initial investment back. If people cant afford $1 for your tool then they are not worth marketing too, or your tool should be free and monetized through ads.

Sorry guys, I've been on vacation and just came back today.

Aiming for July 22 to get it up and running.
