Would you hire a social media manager?

Hey guys,

I have been looking to expand my little business and make my own website and show my presence on social media. I have made a website via Shopify. It isn't perfect but it's in good enough shape to start looking for customers now. My company is 100% legit and it makes 2k+ profit per month right now.

I have a day job and I work about 55-60 hours a week. On top of that, I have 2 young children so when I get home, I spend my time with them until they go to bed. Once everyone is asleep, I get to work on my business. I usually have 2-3 hours per night and I don't want to spend it on Social Media when I should be spending it on product research.

I was thinking of getting a social media manager at a cheap price to work 5-10 hours a week but I see a lot of people using software like Jarvee. I'm curious if it would be smarter to save money and work with a software like Jarvee myself or if I should leave that whole aspect to a VA and pay up every week.

Any suggestions?

Like anything you need to work out if it's viable, if they'll be able to get results and to be honest 50-60 hours a week means you're not getting much time with the kids if you're having to do the extra stuff yourself.

Maybe out source it short term and monitor how things go on ?
 
I would agree with MisterF. It looks like you're already spread too thin, so it might be a better solution to hire someone to do social media for you. If you have a job, a side project, and family life that are already taking a lot of your time and energy, you don't really have anything left to give. So, hiring someone seems like a viable option. It's important that social media is done right, so maybe pay someone for now and see how things go in the future. Also, if you're don't have the necessary know-how, social media might end up eating a lot of your time. Therefore, see what's more profitable - having more time or saving a bit of money. I would choose to have extra time with my kids, but, it's ultimately your decision.
 
I have one VA on my team that spends a few hours a day managing the social media accounts. You have to train them on what you want.

If you don't have time for social media and you're not really into it, hire a specialist with proven results. I don't know if you can find a cheap one though but try it nonetheless. Jarvee won't solve all your problems and it might not be the best growth strategy for you. I'd hire a marketing specialist. Hope this helps.

You're right, I am already spread too thin. I only sleep about 5 hours a night and I still feel like I didn't get enough done for the business. I wish I could hire someone to run my whole business for me but I can't get myself to hire a stranger and give them full access to my stuff, as in the keys to the kingdom. With what I do, I can't give partial access, they would see how it all runs and goes wreck it all with a click, which I won't allow lol. I will hire a VA for social media though.

I posted a job yesterday and had plenty of applicants. I figured 10 hours a week should suffice to get the job done without costing too much money. They can prepare all the ads on one day and schedule them for the week and then spend time researching/liking/inviting etc for the rest of the time left.

Does that sound reasonable?
 
So you've come to the conclusion that you need somebody else managing your accounts - good.

I don't really know much about Facebook marketing but what I do know is Instagram, and tons of it. Instagram marketing is WAY more than just Jarvee. There is several killer growing strategies that aren't mentioned on this forum. Aside from growth, monetization is a whole different avenue that really separates the freshies from the experts. Don't forgot about all the things the experts have such as connections. A true Instagram manager would be spending a few hours a day on just your Instagram, not even talking about Facebook. So watch who you're hiring. Expect to pay $1k a month for a true Instagram expert.
 
One day you will not have time even to work with Jarvee. And a manager will do it for you

I think working with instagram makes it much easier to use IG bots. They do all the work for you, you practically do not need to do anything for this. And will promote your account very quickly.
 
If I were you, I'd hire a really knowledgeable person. It seems to me that this would be much more effective.
 
Both ideas are really good according to me. You can go any jarvee or some best VA who you could hire. It is totally depends on your work.
 
I have actually gone both routes on this one.

I hired someone to manage my main account on all social networks and I am also testing out Jarvee to make tons of my own accounts to automate. I'll be honest, the Jarvee thing is irritating me a lot because I purchased aged accounts and residential proxies from Valar, put in super safe settings and I still keep getting follow blocked instantly...
 
I also experienced this myself. I hired one social media manager from service provider and it works!
 
So I hired a VA who started 9 days ago. Within 9 days, she posted 4 times (spread it across 3 platforms). Hashtags were complete garbage and charged 7 hours of work. Finding quality VAs at an affordable price may be a bit of a challenge lol.

Which platform are you trying to build up on SM?

You may have mentioned it but I didn't see it.
 
Get jarvee instead it will work for you 168 Hours a week.
all you need to do then is just post content and such but jarvee will grow you social media really well better then a human could.
or you could just hire some and buy jarvee and let them take care of jarvee and handel all the social media stuff at the same time!

Instagram and facebook mostly. It would be important to build up Pinterest too. It's a legit company so it's important that the targeting is on point. I need quality before quantity. Both eventually would be ideal lol

At first, I didn't want to waste my time on Jarvee because I should concentrate on my products but I did try Jarvee because I was intrigued. I rented a VPS, I installed Jarvee on it (5 day trial), purchased 10 bullet prood (no links) Valar accounts and 2 residential IPs from Valar just to test it out. I've only activate 4 accounts and they are always like blocked and looping email confirmations and phone verifications. If it's always this complicated, I'm not interested. I need something that I can setup, then sit back and let it do it's thing. I don't mind spending an hour a day to be sure that my accounts (150 total) are all up and running but that's it.

Post in the Hire a freelancer subforum and get a VA that can handle that for you PROPERLY. Don't just hire the first one that comes along but interview them and get someone that will take care of that for you.

There are a bunch of guys on here that freelance that would be a real asset for you in that area and will work at a fair rate.
 
Yes i can understand that you have problems with jarvee. i had problems in the beginning too. that's why you could hire someone to take care of it someone experinced. i don't know if you are aware but there are plenty management services out there that can take care you your account with no problem! Some companies take $100 and up but if you are interested i could do this for you for a cheaper price!
One more thing! don't buy a VPS i recommend to try the amazon 1 year free VPS it can handle up to 10 accounts with no problem at all!
