I plan on content locking e-books in multiple niches, finding related forums and promoting the e-books in those forums with value too of course.

Has anyone tried something similar? or do only gaming hack lockers convert?

As long as you're content locking something that people want then yes it will work.

I've content locked white hat niches in the past and it worked very well.

Will it make you a lot of money? it all depends how much traffic you can send from those forums.

As long as the information you sell is good, you will receive vouches. If you have legit vouches, people will buy more and more.

Therefore, yes, it can work. I buy ebooks if the seller is reputable and the information is not outdated.

Content lockers still working in 2022. I suggest offering for free the first 2-3 pages and then including the link to the content locker inside the PDF.
