Pinterest would surely end up driving traffic to your video if you know how to use them. In the case of blog posts, use WP platform to build a site related your channel. If you focus well on SEO, you could redirect traffic from site to mainstream YT channel too.

There is no instant gratification of any kind with things like this. Even if it did help it would be over a period of time and the embeds have to be on relatively reasonable sites. A blog that actually has some traffic and domain authority/Page authority for example. A twitter account that will get some retweets and stuff. Not just stuff you post that fades away into the ether.

So I say do it and enjoy the delayed gratification when you do start seeing results.
