do you guys think that through good marketing, local searches and niche-targeting and such, you could sell art for a profit?
this was just an idea that popped in my head over lunch:
I know a bunch of artsy people that would love to paint, from 'just for fun' to 'for gas money' prices; I was thinking that, if I'd be to create a smashing gallery-like website, professional portfolio sh*t for each artist, and put it live, maybe just on local searches to begin with, and make them overpriced as he*l, I would be able to create a 'pro' image of those works, in the mind of a prospect buyer, and inspire more trust than the usual discount websites?
I need a second opinion ... and another sandwich
