After this conversation online with tech support I had 2 follow up conversations via phone with their tech support. The first conversation I admitedly was extremely angry and the call ended quickly as I hurled insults at the tech staff. I realise now that this is silly but when you are in the middle of running an adwords campaign and the site you are funneling the traffic to goes down because of some preset limit on an "unlimited" hosting package it's enough to make you crawl out of your skin!
Maybe they shouldn't oversell their servers to the extent that they do? At the time I am wrting this according to Domain tools the server my pages are hosted on (65.254.248.128) is hosting 8,089 websites. Even for shared hosting this is a bit unusual.

My next call went beter as I cooled off a while before calling. I spoke with a young man named "Eric" who agreed to cancel my account and refund me $57.75 and give me 24-48 hours to back everything up. The young man "Eric" said he was waving the $35.00 early termination fee. He said that my financial institution should refund my money within 7-14 days. He refused to give me his last name or any operator number and said "I'm the only Eric that works here" After all the bad experiences I had in the past with Fatcow hosting inc. I fully expect to not be refunded the quoted amount in a the specified 7-14 days and have to fight them for it. Why would not being their customer be any easier than being thier customer?

Fatcow is owned by " The Endurance International group" of 70 Blanchard rd. in Burlington Ma. 01803. I am sure they will "endure" without me as their customer. Just as I have had to endure being their customer. If you want quality hosting without hidden limits I can not recomend Fat Cow hosting!

2. If you talk to Tech support like that don't expect to much help

Agreed on the politeness but you have no idea how much trouble I have had with these people. Plus as I mentioned I am running an adwords campaign targeting 800 keywords and yesterday the campaign was targeting a WP install page.

Cirtex is even worse than that.

Use Gator man, stay away from the no names.

Fatcow is owned by the Endurance international group. You wouldn't believe how many hosts are really them.

If they say unlimited, its sht. Mostly, they think that their servers are powerful as dumbfck that they can handle any hits. Just plain BS

i wont mention names but i get an advance invoice on the 1st of the month and then everday afterwards until i start to get late invoice notices, doesn`t matter that i paid already on time the late ones continue until the early ones start coming

No offense but you should be speak with them politely using offensive words isn't cool. so try to be polite with supports team and they will help you out soon or latter. Even if the hosting is bad.

I was so many times on his shoes before thats why I said it. I have a site that alexa less than 20k that is my main source of income it got massed in one hosting company and I had to wait 1 week in order to get it back. did I lost money? yes I did more than X,XXX. We are human so we will make mistake no matter how hard we try BTW there is no such thing as unlimited, if there was shared hosting unlimited then vps, dedicated won't be exist. Just my 2c

Magpie speaks the truth.

75,000 queries is a quite a lot for a small website. That's actually somewhere around 25,000 hits on a stock wordpress installation. I think on a clean install it runs something like 30 queries for every page load.

WP Super Cache is a phenomenal plug-in that I use on all of my wordpress sites. This plugin will create a static page that doesn't require pegging the MySQL DB every time there's a page load. The result is faster page load times and less stress on the server.

this is really strange. which provider or ISP limits sql queries to the database backend? that is extremely stupid because it makes no sense. due to that limitation it can happen that your site always goes offline for a few minutes at the end of an full hour who in the world came up with such a stupid thing... i cant stop laughing about that!

anyway: did you ever consider hosting your stuff on your own with a private and dedicated root server? using preinstalled cpanel, plesk or something similar would be really easy to manage and you'd have no limitations at all regarding the internals on your server. the only limitation that would exist is traffic usage and the harddisk limitation. i'd never go back to shared hosting again - too many trouble in the past!

I have WP super CACHE. This happened as I was logging into every WP site (like 35 of them) updating WP Super Cache to the new version and deleteing Tags out of the pages.

anyway now I need to find a new hosting account to slap the 30 WP builds for the time being Any suggestions besides hostgator? I no like hostgator.

Honestly i use hostgator now but when i had a few adult sites, i used a vps with phat servers and i never had a problem with them. I think they call themselves amerinoc now.

No matter how bad a company's hosting might be, personally insulting the techie who was unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end of YOUR shit spewing is way too far. Why would you even post something like this? This is nothing to be proud of you racist douchebag.

On the brighter side of things, at least they responded to you.

I used to host some sites with Magmahost (they are in the UK). Noone was ever availabe in the Live Chat, and noone ever responded to tickets. You could open a ticket, wait a week, and find it closed with no response.

Some hosts aren't worth the bother ,and you are best to just move on.

First of all you have no rights to insult anyone like that.
Here are your faults...
Try to understand that UNLIMITED does not mean that you can screw a hosting server for 9.99$ or prices like these. Before buying anything try reading and unterstanding TOS!
Learn about shared hosting and if you are making money then go buy yourself a VPS or dedicated server. If you are not making any money on that than you can leave the job.
Database queries is the biggest problem on using Wordpress and try limiting queries, editing some theme details like reading something directly from the file not the database and try using W3 Total Cache.
Database queries is not hits and if you are so poor in this knowledge than you can swear only to yourself, not a hard working technician.
Behave like a man, not a pervert.
Do your job with knowledge, if you do not know try to learn it.
If you aren't interested in learning then go and f**k yourself...
