Has anybody had any recent success making money IN GAME with WoW? (gold farming, selling accounts ect.) I haven't played in around 3-4 years and just reactivated my account and was curious if this game still has any potential to make money off of it. I'm sure some WoW sites, blogs rake in a decent amount of money, or any popular MMO for that matter. I remember botting runescape mining :)

MMO making money, strategies, help, characters, or just WoW general.

Write up an ebook that explains how to power level or farm gold... Then sell the hell out of it :D

Figure out what your competitors are selling it for and then undercut them.

Be sure to add some info that your competitors don't have in their guides.

In game guides like Zygor are still doing good. But gold farming, account selling, etc is all but gone in the wind depending upon where you live.

I made 4 years ago 3.000$ with the zygor guide, I thought folks don't play WOW anymore?

I made some cash from runescape, I used to gold farm a lot, one day I sold over 600 dollar worth of gold, the guy went and used a stolen paypal account... sucks... well I dont suggest doing via paypal cuz theu can easily open dispute or use stolen account...

In wow now you can make a lot of money by selling rated battleground boosts. It's done by win trading. Google it for more information. I payed 100 EUR and I was in a group with 4 other players who bought a boost. Total boost time played 1 hour and a half. You do the math.

There are plenty of ways to make money with wow. I just run the AH and make a few k a day with almost no effort which adds at up .60 per k.

level 25 guilds can sell for 100k, so just recruit people etc and flip guilds.

Making a gold guide is the best way to make real money though, it does take a lot of knowledge. You can just rewrite other guides though.

It's still the biggest MMO by far - and I don't really think anything is going to surpass is anytime soon.Personally I'm just a casual player, who doesn't see any point in purchasing guides, but seeing that in my own ventures I don't understand by people buy from me, I understand that those may still sell good ;)

I make a lot of my gold, by botting old instances like HoS or HoL in Storm Peaks. Roughly about 300-500g per instance in profit, each run takes 12 minutes to do. So I'm sure you can work out the maths, you can earn a lot of gold each day :) that doesn't take into count, any Rares/Epics/Recipes etc that may drop!
