I work from home, I did get an office but when you take into account the travelling time, especially since I had to drop the kids at school at 8-50am and pick them up at 3-30pm, it meant I was losing an hour to an hour and a half each day just travelling.
That adds up to 5 - 7.5 hours per week, or 20 hours - 30 hours per month - that's a lot of dead time.

Work From Office, managing my 19 People Staff. 2 Managers to manage them. But My best Part is My Office is 3 Streets away from Home. Salaries I can not disclose. But Yes, If you want to work Real, You should work from office. Even a very Small Office with no Employee . Just you Only.

It's a trade-off between the time you loose by travelling, and the benefits of working from an office (focus, and social). Look into places like Techhub http://www.techhub.com where you'll be surrounded by like minded people, you never know who you'll meet and what new opportunities will crop up.

From home but really thinking about getting a office. One get lazy and easily distracted from working at home.

I've used both methods in the past and I don't think working at home necessarily means less efficient working. It's all about HOW you manage your home office and time efficiency really..
Currently I rent a small office for those clients that just like to meet on "my ground" and I also do a lot of traveling, meeting up with clients on their turf. I also work from home quite often and for that I have a nice mid-size office room that is only used for work. This way I'm in that business mindset as soon as I enter "the office" (whichever office that may be!)

Currently working from but trying to raise money to get into office. Before motivating my employees to leave their homes on time and come to work early, I myself have to do the same.

I work neither from home nor an office most of the time.
I instead have what is effectively a large 'bachelor pad' ~800 meters from home, setup so that I'm very damn comfortable there. I don't go there to get work done - I go there to get in the right head-space, to have the thoughts and insights that I need in order to profit
Employees are now mostly remote workers, and we have a once-yearly get together, generally towards the end of the year.
Salaries are market, plus about 10-15% in most cases, plus arbitrary bonuses if and when I feel like it.

I work from home and my office. I no longer have employees and will soon be closing my office and working from home full time. I had 2 employees for about 6 years and it was nothing but a headache! I constantly had to reprimand the older lady, since I'm so young, she had an issue with my authority. I know I could have fired her but its not easy finding people to do my line of work where I live. However, I did wind up laying her off and the other employee had already left a year or two prior after she finished school. So I have been doing everything myself now for the last 1.5 years and my life has changed so much and is almost 100% stress free! Not to mention that's about $60,000 in my bank account from not having to pay staff! If I could avoid having employees I would do so at all cost unless you are making a TON of money and can hire someone to manage them for you! Even then, I would seriously have to consider it. I'm sure everyone's experience will not be as bad as mine, but that is my experience.
