Work Permission for Online Business?

Hi everyone!

I hope someone can help me because I don't even know how to look this specific thing on google:

I recently started to sell some eBooks through my website, and I'm thinking to start selling T-Shirt now with Printful.
The payment options that I have is PayPal and Credits Cards (with Stripe as the processor payment)
I'm living in Canada right now, but I'm applying for my work visa and permanent resident.

Since I don't have the permission to work legally here yet, is there any problem to have an online business and sell some stuff to any country?

I really appreciate any help.

That very much depends on the stipulations of the governing country. If you generate more than 10K in a calendar year, Paypal and Stripe are required to report it to the IRS or the country's equivalent. Since this will show that you worked ( even if it is for yourself) you may want to consider registering as a business through the country and list yourself as your own employee which may allow you to qualify if generate enough in a year and are able to secure outside funding for a physical location. I say this because you have to have an address for the business and they will take your Visa in consideration when applying for any business identifying information.

It's 200 transactions AND 20,000.00 in a calendar year for both.

Thank you! I guess when paypal and stripe need to report is to the billing country (or the country where I have registered in the system) right?

Yes. Again, if you register your business where you are then they will report it to that country because you'll be asked to change the registering information from your SSN to an EIN.
