I don't know in what world a small - medium sized local business would need serverless for a site that get < 1k visitors/month. Even larger companies are more than OK with WP. no it won t sink in the near future. a lot of small busnisses use wordpress for it s user friendy dashboard wich is very easy to use if you are not a programmer. to build a website using wordpress shouldn t take more than 2-3 days of reasearch wich is a better way than to hire some programmers to build it; and being built is not the biggest problem here, cause you ll need also to pay a monthly fee to those who did it for you just to modify things on it like price or producs update.WordPress is a sinking ship.
