wordpress website ranking in blog post, but not in Google web serach

Hello all,
I have a website which is on wordpress cms.I am facing a huge problem now. When I search my website name like "xyz" . Then it come in Google web search and Google blog search both. But in Google blog search result there should be website's blog home page.
I have also tried this for other wordpress website. When I search "abc" for this website the domain url comes in google web results and blog url comes in Google blog search.
Please tell me what is the problem with my website. Why it is coming in Google blog result instead of Google web results. Please help.

If your domain is XYZ.com, then go to Google.com and enter "XYZ.com" in the search bar. If your site is #1 it's not penalized. If it's not #1 you're penalized. What happens in Google Blog results doesn't matter, no one uses that really.
