Wordpress theme

Wordpress themes that are posted on bhw to be downloaded. Are these themes nulled or as it as with no changes in script?
I have seen many threads here regarding themes download but i'm doubtful if they are injected as they are giving away paid theme for free.
What are your thoughts?

I have used around 20+ nulled wordpress themes and 100+ plugins, what I have found that some websites include their pop up ads script in there. So far no virus injection or mysql injection at all. But, the ads are most often an issue.

You mean users posting themes and plugins here also add ad script in code?
I thought they are supposed to giveaway theme as it is here.

Most of the themes you'll see are re-posted from other websites. OP of those themes posts don't even remove the watermarks forced by the sites from where they get the content.

That guy always post to the same uploading service, which i believe he owns. When he registered he didn't even posted virus total links and most (if not all) of the themes he publishes cames from wp locker. Even so, everybody thanks and props those guys who don't do nothing else than get and post and that's a sh*t because he isn't adding anything to BHW in my opinion. Also if you check stick threads at this section you'll see approved uploaded services but no-one cares.

You've respectful users who only publish themes and plugins they buy, but those guys are few and usually are Junior members. Props for InnovativeSeo, i'm your fan!

Don't take casperwebs opinion as he may be blind. 100 plugins with "only" ads injected? That's dumb, your websites should have backlinks pointing to every possible website around the web x) Also, ads are visible to people so they would uninstall it right away! Guys upload shells and malicious scripts instead to run on the background.

You can safely use nulled content and plugins but you must analyse them before uploading to a real world server. You even have WP plugins to check malware and overall malicious code like WordFence or Theme Check to check integrity but if you really want to be safe, do this:

• ALWAYS test on your local machine, download the theme/plugin and run it locally
• Use a tool to sniff network traffic coming out your webserver (google for HTTP analyses/sniffer). Then check all incoming/outgoing links, confirm the domain owners, etc. You should see a lot of traffic from wordpress itself and the theme/plugins who take statics but not much more.
• Use tools to analyse the backlinks on your local website, so you're sure no-one is earning reputation thanks to you

And remember: NEVER upload without testing. The bad code can be installed without your knowledge.
Be cautious mate, i can easily develop a script that installs a malware shell on your server and remove itself after being executed so you'll never find it if you've uploaded and activated at WP.

Can you tell me users you know here who post wp themes without any modification after buying or links to such wp themes?

If you intend to keep a site and make it long term, then buy all means buy the theme.

It really sucks to develop a site, thinking you're really clever, only to find out the theme author had a backdoor into your site this whole time

Yes you are right but this guy @InnovativeSEO seems to be trustable here. Many people have reviewed that his themes are untouched.

Always make sure you trust someone you buy custom made themes from. There is a risk factor to it for sure.

I hadn't seen you mention him on this thread. I don't know this member, but surely BHW offers a safe environment to trade.

I'm gonna be honest with you, WP sucks. It's useful for people to have a setup-ready website within a few seconds using the imported demos developers provide but you're very limited to that. For example, if you want a car insurance theme you'll download a theme someone developed with cars images and common layouts but that's it.

My best advice is to stick with only one theme and learn it very well. Learn how you can change backgrounds, fonts, colors, widgets appearance, content and sidebars widths, etc. Then use a page builder like Visual Composer (someone already posted the last version here) and use extensions to enchant it adding more shortcodes.

Take Newspaper theme as an example. Download it and install it without importing any demo. They've pre built templates for Visual Composer and implement several shortcodes for what they call blocks with sliders, grids, etc. Newstube is pretty cool but i've already developed 21 websites on this month with Newspaper and they're pretty beautiful. This is the flow with Newspaper i would recommend you:

• Install the theme
• Configure the theme: design colors, post and category layouts
• Install required plugins by theme
• Install Revolution Slider, Jetpack and Visual Composer Extensions Addon by Tekanewa, Contact Form 7, Mailchimp Widget
• If required install: Woocommerce, BuddyPress, BBpressand WP Cache
  
• Create pages: Homepage and Blog and set they as default on WP reading options . Terms of Use, Cookie Policy, About Us, Contact Us

If possible learn basic CSS and learn how to enchant the design when the theme you're using don't have an option for that (an example would be to add backgrounds to widgets).

That's it, you've a Wordpress website. To make it look like the themes you find in themeforest and others you'll have to get graphics: that's the secret to a successful website.
You'll need sliders with moving images and texts, you'll need banners, more sliders, more banners. I'm not a designer and i can do it only with GIMP, so install Photoshop, download free PSD already available everywhere on web, implement pretty icons.

I've video tutorials with Newspaper but only in Portuguese. But hey, you can trust me: read the documentation and learn your theme, mess it up locally and try every possible options. Get graphics and success is a matter of SEO.

I have a wordpress team that develop website for clients, i have trained them very well and for a single team member he can use only couple of themes as i have teached the working of couple of themes to all team members and for each member there are different couple of themes. They take it to their maximum potential and we get good enough orders so i don't see need to change at the moment.

Other than that, i am planning to use some of the themes from innovativeseo for my personal projects as he seems to be credible. Why pay when you can get the same thing for free? I trust this forum and when most users are saying his themes are untouched i trust that

I agree with you on the pay side because i hate WP. In a perfect environment, more than 50% themes and plugins would be opensource without paid versions but devs are too greedy in WP, really!. That's unnecessary to request 25$ to 1.000 people for something you can develop within a few weeks and don't work 8h/5 days per week on it in maintenance.

Open Source FTW, the true open source and not fuc*ing companies like Wordpress/Jetpack, Woothemes/Woocommerce, etc.

When I started I used to download WordPress themes and NEVER came across with malicious code. Today I pay because the updates.

Not here but on few of the sites. I forget the name, might be themekiller (I am not 100% sure) but once applied on my site, *bam*.
It starts loading popcash ads.
