WordPress theme for newbie with no coding knowledge?

Last time I needed quality theme I purchased one from https://www.templatemonster.com/drupal-themes.php , these guys also provide wih all the possible CMS templates, including Wordpress. The assortment is huge, the quality is top.

Another thing is that free themes all have a paid version.
I've seen people on youtube explaining how these paid versions aren't as powerful as Premium Themes and end up costing almost as much.
Does anyone share this opinion?

In my experience, its easier to build a well functioning website with a paid theme.

Free themes have Paid versions because of their lack in tools. Please avoid downloading free version of paid themes. Most of the times it comes with malware inside it. You dont want that.

Search for themes that have many sales, some of guys already mentioned some of them ( The7, Divi theme ). Those themes are the best solution. They give you for free some paid plugins like "drag&drop" builders like Visual Composer, they have great Documentation, good support ( check when they updated the theme for last time, if it was 1 year ago, dont buy it ) and the most important of all, CONTENT.

You can just import content with 1 click. And then see how the magic is done.

You need to study wordpress, install XAMPP or any other similar program and play with it. You can build websites localy, then move them online or find free online hosting with free domains for practising.

If you want to play more, you need to know HTML and CSS. And if u want to move one step forward then u need JavaScript

Totally the wrong information, where did you get that from?

next time you say something is wrong, at least say WHAT is wrong.

i do not accept anything from a guy who proposes to a newbie to use the default theme and then he says its pretty good. Keep ur opinion for your self.

the default theme is pretty good for you because u are ignorant. blocked and reported dont talk to me again.

X Theme.

Strip out all the frills, very good WYSIWIG interface, just tweak things and learn as you go. Follow Pagespeed Insights and install WPMUDEV Hummingbird to see what can be done to get the speed up to par.

Chill bro.

The default theme (Twenty-Seventeen) is a very good theme for people starting out, is very fast and well-optimized out of the box, and is far better than past default themes.

The default theme is good for a beginner is what I said.you said don't use free themes because they have malware in them, you got confused with nulled themes.

I must be overthinking this.
Time to get simple.
If I get a Premium theme it'll probably be Enfold or Genesis Framework. I hear Genesis is really fast.
I'll probably see how I do with a free theme from WordPress.org again.
Does it hurt SEO if you install a theme, play around, delete it and install another one, etc?

If you want to play around with themes and not touch your site you have 2 options.
First is localhost, I use wpsimulator to build client sites.
The second and easier option for a beginner is to buy a cheap domain name and install WordPress then use that. It can be any name you want. Then use lorum ipsum as dummy text. Some colleagues of mine do it that way

Quickest theme I ever edited with was Jarvis by Rock N' Rolla Themes

For a complete newbie in WordPress just go with default free themes available with WordPress. By the way, you have selected one of the best themes available in the market. It is suggested for a newbie to go with a theme which supports drag and drop builders like the visual composer.
