WordPress theme for newbie with no coding knowledge?

I'm trying to find a wordpress theme for my first website.
Have no coding knowledge and was considering Avada or Enfold from ThemeForest.com, but keep reading about how "drag&drop" website builders make the website slow.
Can anyone confirm this? Should I o with one of these Premium themes? Any other suggestions?

I posted this here because I'm afraid a theme that makes a slow website will hurt me in SEO.
I should have made that clear in the title, sorry

I see an older thread recommending The7 Theme. It's actually on sale right now so I'm wondering if it's worth it or should I just get Avada or Enfold anyway.

Why not try The7 Theme, and see how it works for you. Read up on the reviews it has gotten. And if it's on sale, then why not.

I would play around with the free ones until you get the feel of things. You can change the theme later

If you are a complete Newbie then these themes works great for you.

Avada is one of the best themes highly customizable and easy to use.

Page speed doesn't get low if you do it properly these themes are SEO friendly but you have to understand the difference between Being SEO friendly and being SEO optimized Website

Because it still costs 39$ plus European tax. If I can make an informed decision before I buy, it would be better. Hate to buy things that later on weren't what I wanted, Reviews on it seem good though.

I have already tried but I think it'll take a good amount of time before I can build something I like. I think I'm being lazy here and not devoting the needed time WordPress needs. I tried Weaver Xtreme, free version, and didn't like it very much. It's similar to the basic templates I think.

I already made a website with a theme called Weaver Xtreme, free version, but didn't get along very well with it. Also tried WP bootstrap (I think that was the name) and wasn't quite what I expected.

If I buy one it's probably going to be Enfold I liked it better for some reason. That was from youtube videos of course.
The7 may also be an option, I have to see some videos on it as well to have a feel.

I suggest the Divi theme, cleanest website designs with minimal work.

There are also plenty of nice looking presets you can place on your site and easily modify with no coding.

It totally depends upon you bro ... mostly WordPress themes are SEO friendly so you can go with whatever theme you are comfortable with.

So claims that Drag&Drop themes make a slow website, and therefore get negative SEO, are exaggerated?
I understand that some people can take it to an extreme and get too many features in a website that makes it sluggish. I'm just trying to get some 3-4 static pages with pictures and a blog going. Nothing fancy.

Is there a Premium Drag&Drop theme that makes a faster website than the others?

If you're worried about investment and spending money, I would say start with a Free theme
(Check ThemeIsle Free WP Themes).

And if you're okay was burning some money for a better setup, I would recommend going with Genesis Framework, or ThriveThemes.
Both are very easy to manage even with no much coding experience.

I'm using Genesis Framework + Sample Child Theme and I'm super happy with how easy and powerful it is.

I think Divi theme is a good option for you. Just drag and drop, no need to know any lines of code.

When you are just starting out best to go with something simple, one easy step at a time. Kentooz.com have a simple blog theme that looks good, and it's free. It's like learning to drive, you start with the basics first.

WordPress is set up in such a way that you don't need any code experience, it's twofold, coders like it because it's open source and beginners like it because it works out of the box. As you are just beginning with it I wouldn't worry about coding for now

On the other hand whichever theme I get should probably get me the cleanest possible code in case I later want to migrate to another theme or get into HTML5, right?
Also I'm reading about Drag&Drop builders and how I should select a theme that has a commonly used one. It seems that's best for not getting stuck to a Theme that has it's own Drag&Drop builders no one else uses.

They are all clean code, so you'd have no problem later on, unless it's been modified. Best to go with reputable themes. Have you not looked on http:// WordPress.org

If you want something beginner friendly and dragndrop try divi. They have great video instructions.

I came across this website that has a layout similar to what I want, never mind the content.
It's called "mohandassociates DOT com" and it's made with Enfold from ThemeForest. That's what got me into thinking about a Premium theme. Besides Enfold do you know any theme that can build this look easily?

I thought about DIVI Theme but it's more expensive than the others and payment is a yearly fee which I didn't like. I prefer a one time payment.

I tried the free version of Weaver Xtreme, but didn't like too much how the layout building was done. As I understood it's very close to most WordPress themes, so that turned me off.
