Wordpress tags: best advices :)?

Tags are no longer important... they are useless for SEO, if I'm no mistaking Google confirmed it. Tags are pretty much used for seach terms and to filter your posts.

"Wordpresss tags" and "best rankings" in the same sentence? That's like using meta keywords to rank your page. It's not 2010 anymore.
