Wordpress Site Guide

Please I downloaded a wordpress plugin and a Theme tried uploading the zip file ,but when I click on it, the file opens up with more files in it, please I don't know the particular file to upload. Please help.

P.S : don't just read and ignore

Upload .zip to your hosting. After uploading, unpack your zip and a normal file folder with the plugins name will be visible and should be active om your wordpress.

You can also do it through wordpress itself or through ftp.

P.S : don't just read and ignore .

You have to upload the .zip to the theme and plugin installer page in WP.
When you press add new for each there's a button that says upload file,,,,,
upload the zip file(s) (one at a time for each - theme or plugin)
and then when it's done uploading (you will see the percentage uploaded in
the bottom left) then press install and wait.
It will then tell you if the plugin or theme installed correctly or not.

Login to your wp-admin. Go to plugins -> add new plugin -> upload your zip. Wordpress will extract it. Activate the plugin and you're done.

Don't double click it,,, upload the zip as you got it.

In file manager? You sure it's a zip? I think you've extracted it...

I don't know I downloaded it from @Festinger website.

STEP 1: Do your own research before getting spoon-feed by BHW-members. Within 1 day, I have received 8 questions of you. If you don't know the basics about WordPress, you might try a more easier platform, just as WIX.

STEP 2: Select the plugin which you'd like to upload.

STEP 3: Upload it and install it to your website.

STEP 4: Activate the plugin!

STEP 5: CELEBRATE IT!

Yes I would recommend a WP basics course for you (can't believe I'm saying that LOL).
There are a LOT of good ones out there. Of course hopefully what @Festinger posted above will clear it
up for you. No offence @DE_GAME but you're just at "step one" here and it seems you're not ready.

Shit men I was not looking for who to spoon feed me for hell's sake, if I had asked how to create a website or how to install wordpress and you said that then it should be considered, I know have asked you couple of questions in pm doesn't mean I need someone to breastfeed me , saw maybe you got tired of my endless questions and then decided to ask publicly , didn't you see the pictures I sent previously I had already done exactly what you did just I that wasn't home and I did it with a smartphone guess you were to quick to judge.

Sure have seen you @Festinger asking how to make $15 daily, with all the endless methods here on BHW and you were not prosecuted for asking.

I tried it now on my laptop now it's working but saying that uploaded file exceeds the upload _max_filesize directive in php.ini

LoL ,I have been on BHW longer than you think way back 2010 (was not a registered member then) you can't imagine how many journey thread I read and information I have gotten from here, just enjoyed reading the heart touching journey thread of people , I do have I a very good offline steady (an employee) of source income that why I didn't care about registering or doing anything , I want to quit my job and have my freedom that's why I'm looking for alternative means of earning.
