wordpress installation to hostgator question

hi

Im pretty mad right now
I bought domain name in name.com
hosting on hostgator
and installed wordpress
changing hosting servers on name.com

but I got mad when every time I refresh my site it directly go to portal
then I refresh my site again it back to wordpress then after I edit some banner and
refreshes again it goes to portal domain

what kind of annoying

I have question how many hours or minutes do you wait after uploading banner
or changing themes on wordpress

Im annoyed on my site portal

any advice or It has something wrong with the domain or the hosting

Do you have 2 files in the root directory called index.* ? (Please note that the * is a wildcard, it could have the extension .htm .html .php etc.)

It sounds like the 'default' index file is still present, and the webserver doesn't know which to serve.

how will I edit it
and what should I replace?

just go on fiverr and find someone to help you, i had same problem..payed 5 bucks to Deleted member 1924571, no risk and it was solved.
 
im planning to delete the wordpress file on public html and install it again

I try to delete using fantastico its done easily
when I check it on filezille the wordpress file is still there

I was really confuse
 
Just ask for their technical support, i'm sure they'll solve your problem in just minutes plus with no cost. They have a good customer support and fast response.

yes I will do that now cause its all lost
I delete the wordpress on public html using filezilla
then I can't install it on fantastico
it having error
 

The installation can not be completed:
- You cannot install more than one script in the root directory of a domain.

this are the errors on fantastico
 
Talk to your host's tech support mate. They are in the best position to advise.

Just tell them exactly what you are trying to achieve and they will help you.
 
some time less than hour some time you have to wait more than 24 hours but it works be patient mate :)
 
already fixed the hostgator agent they were easy to communicate
but I waited 30 minutes to get chat started and its now all fixed
 
you have to delete the mysql database in the root if you did a self install and then want to try Fantastico to reinstall the script in the root
 
hostgator tech support is too good. i have tried other hosting as well but nothing compares to the support available at host gator
