Wordpress illegal in my country - What to learn

While this is bad for me it can also be good for me as there wont be a lot of high quality sites around.

My question is;

Is it wise to sell Wi/x sites that are ripped of their ads and offer seo, while knowing it is quite limited? I consider this very blackhat.

Otherwise I"m thinking to learn photoshop, dreamweaver. I have basic knowledge of html5 and css. But not an extraordinary amount in which I can build a site like wi/x.

What do you guys suggest?

Your title is misleading and confusing people. Nothing in this world wordpress website prohibited, unless you sell goods such as drugs

In 2009 a "famous" writer got assaulted by several wordpress blogs, leading him to file a case to the Turkish court which led to the ban of the WHOLE platform.

People have tried to protest to no avail.

I guess its my fault for putting up a title like that.
Anyways help me out guys.
Kinda stressed over what to do.

can't you just host outside of your country? or are visitors stopped also?

I wouldn't touch Wix sites if my life depended on it. Rather learn proper HTML and CSS OP.

As xgnux pointed out wordpress.com is banned in Turkey, not the CMS itself from wordpress.org, so you shouldn't have any trouble learning and using WP. In fact, I strongly recommend you do learn WP because it's the most popular CMS right now. However, if you insist on avoiding WP altogether, you can look into Joomla and Drupal. But before doing this, get the languages like HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL etc. down first.

They will be blogging ip website using wordpress.

As sites with adult content in some countries.
Such as Facebook were blocked in china.

If you are a player on, you know how to handle it.

wordpress.com as a blogging platform might be banned but that has nothing to do with using wordpress as a standalone CMS so you wont have a problem selling self hosted sites developed under wordpress. A quick search in the wordpress showcase even lists that imctv.com.tr which seems to be pretty popular turkish site(according to alexa) runs under wordpress cms.

Again you cant compare a social network like facebook or a blogging platform like tumblr.com to a CMS script they are simply not the same thing.

For a moment I thought Turkey decided to ban the whole platform, which is kinda messed up.

You can buy a hosting and install wordpress, and get started. Read wordpress codex, wpbeginner is also a nice website with useful tips.

simple, just buy domain and rent hosting for it, remove wordpress meta generator that identify Generated by wordpress and its version. Or try blogger.

just host your site offshore away from your country!
