I posted this a couple of times in the WP forums over the past year nobody nibbled on it.
I'm curating content a 2 sites, hand picking articles, and creating excerpts, and readmore's, and doing it all nice and legit with links back to original sources, etc...The problem is, a lot of these articles don't have any grahpics. Right now I have about 4,000 articles with no graphics.
Does anyone know of a way that I can add a featured image, automatically, from my media library, chosen randomly? I know I can add an image to a category but that doesn't look good if you have 2-3 articles in the same category, in a row, show up.
I want to create a pool of images - maybe 500-1000 - and have one, at random, assigned AS A FEATURED IMAGE (that's important!).
I know I can do this manually and, maybe for new posts I will, but for the 4000 posts already published....not going there
Anybody have any thoughts on how to do this? I think I've tried almost every "image" related plugin! lol
