Hi y'all

Yesterday i installed wordpress

So installed wordpress with SSL certificate everything great, but when i checked my Homepage link it's showen like this, https://sitename.com/wp

I searched for a solution and i did managed to remove it from my homepage url by adjusting and removing something from my file manager on my cpanel by following this toturial :

And now it's https://sitename.com/, but the problem is when i want to make a menus on my wordpress it shows like this:

https://sitename.com/blog-category/health/

How can i remove that blog word from my url, i really spent 6 or 7 hours on this whitout anything, as i'm not a wordpress technical guy!

My site is a Tube site if that help as i saw two different categories:
- Blog categories
- Video categories

On these separate categories

- Blog categories: if i create a video category it shows like: https://sitename.com/blog-category/health/

- Video categories : and if i create a category here it shows: https://sitename.com/health/ without the category word on the url, and that's bad for SEO, and want it to be like this : https://sitename.com/category/health/

If someone went from the same issue, do leave anything guide, video tutorial that might help, please

It looks like a problem from Wordpress installation, contact your hosting service they may solve the issues without disrupting your site

I installed Wordpress using softaculous app, i managed to remove that /wp at the end of the homepage link from editing my file manager from my Cpanel and regarding this structure https://sitename.com/blog-category/health/, i realized that my site nature don't need to deal with the blog posts, it's a video site so no need for articles using video categories only

And the Big problem is that Yoast the one that changes the URL structure but that solved as well

When you use the Softaculous installer, you can choose which directory you want Wordpress to be installed to. By default it is set to install in /wp/ folder, but if you leave it empty it will install in main folder.

This problem create from Wordpress installation, so you can install again or contact your hosting service provider they may solve the issues.
