If you have the budget to add some expired domains in the mix, you should be able to rank more competitive keywords and reach the 5 figures/month quite easily.

I wish I were younger and had same enthusiasm like back then to start coding such tool.

Honestly I was never much excited about AI generated articles. I also believe that back links were, are and will be the backbone of SEO.

I am a satisfied customer of wp automatic plugin and I just wonder how the developer is giving tough challenge to other plugins by adding more and more features at the cost of peanuts!

Thats amazing. Basically saves us the time to set up a Python script and all that jazz.

Because we've been years ahead of everybody for a while now. I don't ask myself about what's working now, but what's going to be working in two years. And we don't see Google being able to handle every webmaster on the planet just pumping out tons of content. They simply don't have the computing power to index it.

Couple that with how consumer search trends have been changing and people are using Google less and relying on other methods more and more each day.

We've literally quit all SEO.

When you're on BHW and people are coming on and can barely do more than copy and paste and they're already talking about generating content that's supposed to actually require expertise to generate you'd have to assume that for every one person asking there are 100 more reading the answer and doing the same thing. And there are countless more out there doing the same using plugins like this.

When the barrier to entry has been lowered to $30 it's time to pick up a new shtick, take your bat and ball, then just go home. Because your favorite fishing spot has been overrun by people who just bought "Fishing for Dummies" and are all trying to do what you did for years.

I can't say what we're doing now, but we've literally had to craft a plan around where we don't see NLG being impactful in the near future, but this?

This is trash... and might seriously destroy organic search as we know it.

Not because something like Bing or You.com is better, but because Google will have to fight even harder to deliver relevant results and consumers aren't going to scroll through pages of ridiculously tedious AI content.

They're just going to look in different ways.

I learned that 95% of people reading would not take action.
Of the 5% that left, only 0.5% know how to properly do other "SEO" aspects other than content and even generating good content is hard from what I saw.

in this case it's simple... install the plugin when the site is not indexed, generate as many articles as you need in draft, uninstall plugin and then schedule the articles to be published gradually

Same. Do this on a site you don't care about imo. It's a matter of time before they can easily detect AI content.

ChatGPT broke a million visitors a day in under a month and properly doing "SEO" doesn't mean anything when you're all fighting for 10 search results.

But, feel free to think of that as pessimistic... Search isn't the end-all-be-all for me (so I don't think of refocusing as cynical, but realistic), but maybe it is for you.

Yeah, Google are going to lose control very quickly now and I dont think they can deal with it now just pruning sites out the index.

They do have a nuclear option. Kill third party cookies on chrome, dont do a FLOC style follow up, install ad blockers as default, sacrifice their network ad business. Essentially try to kill on site monetization.

Like Pompeii when Vesuvius erupted.

The interesting question here is the level of the generated articles,
usually the free AI content detectors find it 99% /100% AI content..
and three lines of code from google's worst developer can eliminate your website..

you are speculating. how do you know this? I doubt that google would waste resources on scanning every sites for plugins

As more and more traffic moves to mobile, all they have to do is start pushing Google Assistant more and organic search is nearly dead.

I just searched for a short tail and long tail on my phone and the first five results were ads, followed by maps results, then there were the PAA results. ... Then the results were all Reddit & Quora.

Now we're going to see even more PAA sites and a myriad of other organic results just thrown together by GPT.

If I had half a mind to focus on SEO I'd just use GPT to pump out a metric ton of long-form parasites and use those to link back to a site with an offer. Don't even worry about the money site for ranking, just monetizing the traffic down the funnel.

But, from a UX POV, if people start getting used to asking GPT/You.com/Siri/Google Assistant/etc questions then Google's going to just push people to assistant and ads... There's no money in them delivering a ton of organic posts that were clearly created by AI.

There is no need for Google to scan sites for plugins. It just sees it when indexing. Every plug-in leaves unique footprints in coding. Just open a page source on any page of your wordpress and you will get it.
