Hey guys,

I want to know if there is a way of downloading a wix website successfully, removing the ads and hosting the website myself to avoid the premium fee.

Not positive, however I think it can be done; I see requests like yours on freelancer a lot.

As with everything online, ripping is absolutely possible given your determination. There are various programs out there WinHTT being my favorite for such things. The issue with Wix is the obfuscation of code, thanks to a multitude of call backs to the mother ship. A quick look at one wix site showed 14 linked and 4 embedded .js files... that's crazy! IMHO it would be easier to take a screen shot of the site and have it created from scratch, save yourself some time and frustration and cut the check. ;-) Good luck.

Definitely can be done. But there is much work to be done for it to be possible I'd rather you just spend $50-$100 to hire a pro to design you a custom site.

It can be ripped with some work but why not make your own? Seems like it would be more tailored to your needs.
