Even assuming your truth to be the ultimate truth, you lost much more than you gained. Because tomorrow everybody will be laughing at your ideals. And the day after tomorrow, your truth will become another synonym for ridiculous.

Does your god agree with the murder of people who draw pictures of him? Just wondering.

Also do you have proof of the existence of your god? It would be rather silly to murder people over insulting something that did not even exist, wouldn't it?

There are ways to do everything and based on that you classify somethings as crime and some as normal. If they want to really criticize religion, then they could have challenged for a debate. There are civilized and uncivilized ways of doing things. What people at Charlie Hebdo have been doing was uncivilized and in return they got an uncivilized response. That's it.
 
It's a feeling more like abusing someone's beloved father or mother needlessly -- for that someone. And that is simply unacceptable for that someone, in majority of cases. Faith is what goes from one generation to another, may be along with the genes. IMO, they can't be separated so easily, just like the tru love for someone dear can't be. It's a close to heart feeling, more than it is close to the brain feeling. Can't put it more correctly...

First of all rest in peace for the victims of the attack. So I saw the video on liveleak which was the slow motion clip of the police man getting shot by ak-47 why is it that it has no recoil ?
 
Threads like this are started out of good intentions which I understand, but ultimately
they spiral out of control. It doesn't take too long before you can instantly recognize
threads that will be closed and some may even leave with a reprimand or two.

Some things are highly suitable for the boards while others belong on Facebook. :)

If that's the case, they should have just drawn their own comics.

It wasn't uncivilized, what CH did it was civilized the action of the mentally ill was the uncivilized action.
 
Now one whole community is going to feel the heat because of this shameful killing incidence.

Actually those exact 2 brothers that shot those 12 people were called " freedom fighters" when they were in Syria killing innocent people.

The same French president that approved millions of dollars of weapons for those 2 and their comrades is now outraged because French citizens are murdered...probably with the same weapons French government gave them.

AK47 doesn't have much recoil anyway and the guy was running with in the opposite direction of the recoil so it didn't even look like any recoil.

The only community that I'm judging is the group of crazies that are willing to kill over a drawing.

Yes, i know that with growing number of drug addicts and womanizers in many first world countries, things like religion and god will be ridiculed but that does not makes those addicts to be treated with respect just because they are more in population.

God neither agrees with murder same as he would not agree with one person ridiculing others faith. So better see both sides rather than narrow view.

Do you have the proof that your current father is your real father. You just believed it because your mother told you that he is your father. Isn't it?

So it is OK for you to defend those people who have been in the business of promoting hatred and contempt for peoples faith but you cannot see the counter-reaction just because of your biasedness.
 
Nothing wrong with being a womanizer, its pretty cool. Just because you can't get alot of women doesn't mean you should take your frustation out on other people by supporting terrorism, instead you should be working on yourself to get to a point where you can hookup with lots of women easily.

But mocking surely isn't the same as abusing. We allow others to mock the people we love. If they were actually abusing them then I would kind of understand a little more.

Faith going from one generation to another.. Indoctrination, brainwashing ? In my opinion this is why religions like to get to children when they're very young, before they have a chance to think for themselves. Just my opinion.

I'd say they promote their own hatred. Sure, we'll all fall in love with them after they kill a bunch of civilized people. How does this make sense?
