I plan to get a new desktop pc. I usually use following SEO tools:
    Ultimate Demon
    Kontent Machine
    The Best Spinner
    Scrapebox
    Article Kevo
    GSA SER
    Xrumer
    Keyword Researcher
    Keyword Organizer
    Inspyder Backlink Monitor

Are these tools working with Windows 8? Or should i get Windows 7?
I got windows vps but i like to use these tools on my home computer as well.
    Thank you!

I prefer windows 7, but was forced to run windows 8 on my desktop for reasons I don't feel like explaining. I can say from personal experience that both operating systems should run your software just fine, windows 8 just takes a bit of getting used to.

You might as well go with Win 8 since that is what all will be using eventually in the future.
I was very reluctant to make the switch because i was so use to Win 7, but the more you use Win 8 the more you will like it and you can even have your desktop same as on Win 7, plus you have the added advantage of using Windows Apps, and i can tell you there are some really nice ones.

I am running all my SEO tools ( GSA SER, GSA CB, GSA SEO INdexer, Gscraper, Ultimate Demon, Rank Tracker,Magic Submitter, and a bunch of other... There is no problems and in fact i find some tools working better and faster in Win 8.

Remember when Win 7 came out, everybody complaint about it being different, now everone loves it -- just embrace it as that is what you and your kids will be using for some time.. Change is not always easy but most of the time it is for the better

It's your choice! I prefer win 8, but I also use Win 7 and Xp.
99% of the tools runs fine on these systems.

The word in the cloud is that Microsoft is going to offer a free version of Windows 8.1 called Windows 8.1 with Bing to get users off of Windows 7 and onto the Microsoft cloud services.

    Why?

Windows 7 users believe that Windows 7 outshines Windows 8/8.1 for most programs. Windows 7 does not tie you up into a lot of Microsoft services that you do not need and that track most of what you do on line.

Your choice. I am staying with 7 even though I have 8.1.
