actualy you can, but nobody will hire such dev
learning from tutorials is different than making projects to git, also both are different than one, single, commercial project in corpo regime

no you can not master a language in a few months. you can learn to code in it yes, but not master it completely so you know all the concepts, ins and outs and best practices etc.

if you could then sure people would hire you, as you would be better then most of the programmers they already hired. not many programmers master a language completely.
again knowing how to program in a language and mastering a language so you know everything there is to know about it are 2 different things. if you master a language you never need to go to stackoverflow other than helping others maybe

I would say the absolute minimum is 3-4 years to get to middle-level working full-time.

Stack is in use even by senior programmers, to not repeat coding if it's not needed. If you found cool snippet, you save it to use in future and speed up your work.
Also Chat GPT things, senior developers started to use it to write boilerplate code instead calling to juniors. Chat GPT done job better than junior and senior can just work faster with such tool

you don't understand what i'm saying... just because someone is a senior programmer, doesn't mean you have mastered a language completely.

To everybody asking how did he learn to code in 1 month. I bet he is not a senior developer now, but one can learn all the basics in one month that's for sure. I program in various languages for many years (I made my first html website when I was 12) and I still doesn't know everything. But when I encounter a new programming language as per my (or my clients) needs, I dive right into the deep waters because the logic is the same.

If he has the basics of how it works, the rest Google and ChatGPT will do. That's how me and everyone else I know work.

Wow. Very big debate is going on here. I will clarify things now.

First of all, I never claimed to be a professional senior software engineer. I am not a superman to do that in 2 months. But I clearly stated that I got some experiences 10+ years ago. And there is nothing wrong to get help from Google, StackOverFlow, YouTube, ChatGPT or any forums or person during the time you learn or develop your projects.

WillBeCoder is a very honest person and these are the things I can do and can not do yet:

I can do:

- CRUD Operations and REST / Http GET/POST requests in PHP and C#.

- I can edit basic codes on my wordpress websites with HTML/CSS and a little bit JS.

- I know SQL commands to manipulate databases. I also can manipulate files and it is very fun.

- I understood if/else conditions and for/foreach/while loops very clearly

- I solved lots of enjoyable little problems during my journeys, like "remove duplicate domains and trim to root from a multiple line textbox or list". Or "just login to this question platform and scrape usernames and send private messages to girls only and never send messages to the same usernames again"

So I can develop some useful tools and multi-threaded scrapers and posters.

I can NOT do:

- I never understood the advanced topics yet such as Design Patterns and architectures. Don't even know when to use them, it gives pain to my brain. Feels like I don't even need to learn them unless I work for enterprise/companies.

- I probably never solved a big problem yet.

- Maybe I don't even know what I should learn more from now on.

But this doesn't mean WillBeCoder is not a coder. WillBeCoder developed dozens of little helpful and basic tools and bots so far. And always willing to learn. And I think this is the important part.

This thread is not about "Look guys, I just became a coder in only 1 month and I am such an expert and I got some supernatural magical powers".

You people need to relax a bit.

This guy is just happy he finally learned to code something and it's sharing it in bhw, no need for all this "gurus" to come here comment and show off.

someone needs to remind them to stop arguing with strangers on the internet and get to work...

they are not gurus they are just relentless with their barking, its pretty classic to see this in junior communities where few people will define a timeframe to reach a skill level in programming ..they also forget that people have different backgrounds that often gives them advantages when it comes to learn things and this is a very complex topic we can't even being to comprehend and ranges from previous experiences to the person psychology.

good luck @WillBeCoder, you are on the a good path keep it up and don't get radicalized an open mind always wins.
