Will young people ALWAYS need a social network just for them?

I don't really think it's the format that made TIKTOK stand out. I think that it was just new and clean of boomers so young people could make it their own. People on facebook are kinda old and they badmouth the young generation a lot and they hate how happy teens are when they do their tiktoks. Maybe in 5 years there will be a new social network that the new teens will call home. What do you think? Is a new network a necessity of a new generation or it's just that a new format wins over older formats?

I miss old times when I partied in nightclubs with a Sony Ericsson phone, saved phone numbers of girls in order to SMS' them later =)

Guys, I didn't post this to complain. I just try to understand why facebook is dying and tiktok is booming, I'm not hating on zoomers.

Millennials and Gen Z can’t even afford necessities these days because of older generations. Let them have their fun.

It’s called the vocal minority, those are the people you see… you don’t see the majority of people who don’t post online.

Don't decipher that any contradictory views imply that you are "hating" on zoomers. And also don't decipher that any contradictory views implies that anyone else is "hating" on zoomers or non-zoomers. It is very normal to have contradictory views. When such contradictory views are NOT HATEFUL in nature, but are wrongly deciphered as hateful in nature, then sometimes it may require some carpentry or plumbing work.

Tiktok is booming because it's genius. The virality potential beats any other platform.

Every swipe up resembles the pull of a slot machine lever, and your brain releases dopamine.
 
I'd go with the later possibility. Yes, sky is the limit. In future, there will be need of more social media platforms.
 
Young people are annoying as fuck. Not to you, because you're young, but when you're in your 30s and 40s you're going to see why young people have their own spaces.

GenZ is the last generation and you can see that with how they embrace degeneracy on a level that even GenY could hope to match. Heaven and earth will be made anew, but before that, things are going to get real dark and real bad. Make sure you have your priorities straight.
