Will Using A VPN on another device hurt my channel?

Hey Guys, I've got a question. I've recently tried using a VPN through a virtual machine to watch my own videos to increase my views and retention rate, will this damage my channel in any way shape or form? I feel that Since I'm doing it manually it wouldn't be considered botting.

Let me know your thoughts below.

Bump, from what ive read on here, it could risk your account getting flagged because the vpn is moving from one side of the country to the other ect ect, but if youre only doing it with a couple accounts i dont see it being a big issue, hopefully someone with more experience can enlighten us

yeah if you are only using one account/instance it is pretty much no risk at all. I use VPNs to boost views and such regularly. If you are not monetized then you really have nothing to worry about, but once monetized you have to be more careful as you could possibly be de-monetized
