I
I agree on the part that this was a technical part which was boring no one would have given a shit( It was supposed to be a report kinda)
TBH I am not very sure about sales pitch but I'll consider website speed importance, how you are loosing out, how you'll get an edge against competitors and increase your conversion rate etc etc ,
- What if something breaks during the process?
You will not see any breaks since we have a strong testing policy on our team. We test your website both on desktop & mobile after each small change to see if something got broken. If something got broken, we fix it in a few minutes.
So, outreach works like this:
First, you need to get their attention. Next, you need them to listen. After they listen, they should want a solution. Finally, you just happen to have what they're looking for.
I'm a busy business owner. I'm going throughout my day dealing with employees and annoying customers. I also have a nagging wife that's always pissed off that I'm always busy and I have 15 kids who all need attention.
How are you going to direct my attention away from all my problems and get me to listen to you?
Edit:
@IncognitoSince2002 I hope you're paying attention and taking this serious. EVERYONE who learns how to sell makes atleast $100k/year. B2B sales guys starting salary is like $90k + $130k in comissions.
Here's a story to highlight what I mean by grabbing attention.
I use to do door to door sales. Everyone HATED me just showing up and interrupting whatever they had going on.
When I first started, I was quiet and shy and very taken back by rejection.
But then I learned how to get attention.
It was a few years ago in Colorado, I was selling security alarms. Our pitch was that we were looking for "homes that could advertise our sign".
In exchange for the sign, we would give them "free" security system and charge them the monthly security fee.
Every time I knocked on the door, they would immediately say, "not interested" and close the door.
But then I started saying, "hey have you heard what's been going on around the neighborhood?"
If I said it just right--with volume just above a whisper, they would lean in, shake their head, and say no.
Then they would ask me what was going on.
THEY JUST STARTED LISTENING TO ME.
Obviously, you want to try not to lie to people, but sometimes you have to be a little sneaky about it.
