I'm thinking of reselling
WordPress Speed Optimization
to local businesses with 2x reduction guarantee

But I have no idea about technical stuff like Developing website . Will this work or I'll be caught in the middle
Have any of you tried reselling like this
Any suggestions or tips

You don't have experience in selling, and you don't have experience or knowledge about the product you want to sell.

So yeah, it would probably work for someone with the experience, but most probably not for you.

I'm 17 so I guess I'll look for an internship

With the proper approach, why wouldn't it work? But it won't sell itself, you have to do some regular basic selling/copywriting, sell benefits not features (site speed is a feature), explain how important is speed, how customers leave in 2.3 seconds if the site doesn't load, how much wordpress sucks at speed, bla bla and how all other speed reducing services suck, because they only focus on so and so thing, while you do a so and so approach.

BTW if you haven't heard, all the 16 y.o drop-shipping gurus on yt are now putting a twist/moat on their dropshipping courses and 'invented' a genius new thing called 'drop-servicing'...so dumb. But of course expect in 6 months every high school student looking for a quick buck to be reselling services on linkedin and the market to be much more saturated (not that now it's a huge open niche, I'm practically receiving 10 service offers a day on some of my wordpress websites that are just hello world, IDK how they even find them.. every legit business with a phone number and contact form receives probably 200 a day).

Thanks for such in-depth answer ,that's the basic plan also sending them reports that I'll optimise these areas ( which I have made)
and reaching out to some clients through my dad's contacts
Thanks again

If it feels good, just do it, and learn as you go!
Just make sure you have a good service provider and know how they work and what they need.
The most important thing in (re)selling this is to establish trust.
The client will need to give you WP admin and FTP access, so trust is extremely important!
Do it! Don't be afraid to fail, because that's how you learn and grow.

That's the most core part of it I I'm thinking of making up 7 day window by Lastpass
You aware of any other security measure?

I have sold speed optimization services here and I still do it to some old clients, but one I can say - with that, it's even hard to earn average income not even to mention some money for other projects. You can get some basic money, but the work you need to put in is quite hard. Also, you need quite the knowledge to do that because if you don't no one will trust you with his money site.

So once you have a portfolio which consists of at least 20 websites then you are ready to go public if not I would stay away from a guy like you with my websites :)

Speed optimization is not just installing a caching plugin, it's a testing, tweaking and making better and secure and there are so many small things you need to be acknowledged of.

@IncognitoSince2002 Why are you reselling this? it's easy to do it yourself.

Just search in Google for how to optimize WordPress and increase website speed and you will get tons of articles and methods and tutorials that you can learn from, and install WordPress on a hosting and start testing the methods until you find the perfect method to speed up & optimize WordPress :)

Good luck.

Being 17, I would assume you have a little free time (no disrespect, not calling you a kid). If doable, take the next two weeks to a month to practice on your own dummy site. Put a bunch of dummy content on it.

Some themes are bulky and have a ton of functionality, coming with a lot of plugins. Come up with a few core functionalities and purposes for this site. I'd make it so the site has to be dynamic. Learn where you can trim all the fat off.

Also, hosting in a way where you have access to the server will teach you a thing or two.

Pretend it's your money site that you want to bring in money by x date. Build, crash out the site, build, rinse, and repeat. Until you get to the point that the site works the way you wanted, and also has good optimization stats. Get to that point before "your x date."

If you can get a heavy site (Lots of Javascript, CSS, etc. required) to decent numbers, still working with the core concepts, you planned from the beginning. Within a few weeks, you should surely be able to get most local websites into the milliseconds quite easily.

You'll likely learn a lot more, having the freedom to make plenty of mistakes and crash the site to your heart's content.

After that, strategically offer your newfound skills pro bono to influential and well-rooted business owners in your community.

P.S. This "dummy site" can act as a real project/side project.

P.S. All of this is assuming that this is the path you choose to go down. I know the feeling of "I don't care what it is, as long as it works." If you throw enough "spaghetti" at the wall, something is bound to stick. You're in the right place to learn. Regardless if this is the "method" you choose or not, starting this dummy site will be beneficial. It'll help you think laterally, and in ways, you couldn't have before starting. Whether what you do now, next time, or the time after that is the successful one. Get the ball rolling. Seeing how things work with your own eyes, causes, and effects will help you understand the problems and solutions. PROBLEMS and SOLUTIONS.

Cause that way I could do at least 2x (done by seller) and leveraging that
I'm thinking of learning and making my own project?
Can you recommend any useful guides

Thanks for so much is in-depth answer
My motive was to earn quick cash but I guess it won't work that way

All you need to learn are a few terms to convince businesses that you're the man for the job. Ask the provider a couple of samples of their previous work, and you should be good to go.

Not a bad idea. Aim to close the clients on some sort of a monthly "security + optimization" retainer. Not sure what city you are in but finding 20 - 30 companies willing to pay for this is not that hard. Then you can use this money to focus on some other stuff.

Point is I don't have prior coding knowledge but the seller is excellent and has provided with reports of business beforehand

I'm in India I guess one fee would be great cause there won't be much changes on those websites
