recently i got an idea of making a new instagram account which promotes cheap fashion clothing and accessories like advertising for a product from ebay or amazon and putting affiliate links in the description , like just putting several photos for the product and put some good words on the product , will this method work on new account or do i need an account with lots of followers in the same niche to achieve money through this ?

There's no right or exact (yes/no) answer.
But as a rule of thumb, the bigger the outreach of your posts (the number of users that see your posts) the higher the chances of conversions and sales.
You can start with a new account and use hashtags in your posts (to outreach those that search or follow these hashtags) and at the same time build your following.

I'm going to be real with you, it will take a LOT more effort to sell anything through IG.
No1 wants to buy a dime in a dozen cheap ass clothes and accessoires, you have to put a lot more thought, effort, patience, creativity and determination in it, the easy days are over.
But hey, try anyway and see if you learn a thing or 2

i was thinking about that , getting a bit of attention through hashtags and i would scavenge those sites to find cool looking things not just cheap trash

Yes! That's a good idea. As I said many times before, failing is a big part of IM. You will gain experience and getting to know what works at present time and what not.

That's correct, you can only put one website URL, in the profil section - not in posts or stories. Unless :
- You are a big brand verified account with a lot of followers (these big accounts can put an external link in stories)
- You promote your post with Instagram Ads. Sure, you can put the minimal $1 budget ad to be able to put an external link to the post, but it's not worth it (the ROI needed liminates this possibility for new accounts)
To be honest with you, what I will do is start a new blog that will be review blog based. So that on that website you write reviews for items on ebay/amazon and provide affiliate links everywhere to make it easy for people to click on.
Then on your IG account provide page URL to your blog. When you blog hit nice traffic you can even put ads there and thus have another income stream (not only affiliate links). Although this will need more work to do SEO and to GROW IG. But if you can take the time like 6months, of learning and executing, and stick with growing the page traffic and your IG, for IG best would be some kind of automation. See where it brings you, you would not waste your time if you are determinant to do this. Just do something each day and you will eventually get people and start to get some money out of it, then scale it.
