With AI, are people still using websites, visiting Google to do searches or nowadays we should only focus on social media + AIs? Can websites made in 2026/2027 still be profitable?
Will it still be worthwhile to create websites in 2026 and beyond?

Websites are still worth building, but the days of throwing up thin pages and waiting for Google traffic are pretty much gone. I’d build around something AI/social can’t easily replace,real expertise, tools, data, community, or a strong brand—and use social + AI search as extra traffic channels.
Websites still play a core role in connecting with users. Even though AI is rapidly developing, people still have the habit of searching for information and choosing the content that best suits their needs. That’s why I still believe websites are worth investing in.

The sites could still be of some use a good site coupled with content generation brand image development and other marketing mediums might provide some possibilities i would not care much about page creation and would give more thought to providing something unique and reliable to users and social networking websites.

Yes, definitely. Good websites still matter, especially when good websites offer something and are built around real user needs.

Websites are still worth building. AI is changing how people discover information, but a website is still where you control the content, leads, sales and brand.

But don’t you think a lot of it will eventually be taken over by LLMs? Most queries are already being answered directly by ChatGPT and Claude, while many of the remaining ones are being addressed through Google’s AI snippets.
I don’t think websites offering actual services are going anywhere, but I do think it’s going to be a tough time for traditional blogs and informational websites that mainly rely on organic search traffic.

Anything with a persons unique art, animation, and interactivity, AI is cooked. Period. lol AI is the new "blog format" now for consumers only really. But consumers still want to have fun and learn. I don't think that will go away any time soon. And its up to us, to tap into that, and build the type of sites, that people share and get excited about i think.

A great example indeed. It reminds me of Wordle and how it was acquired by The New York Times for over a million dollars.
